Yeah it really depends on the artist honestly, for example ever since Dua dragged them for misreporting about her Fever MV shoot they've always been incredibly accurate with news/rumours about her.

Exclusive: Beyoncé Will Not Release Act III Album Next Week

Rumors have been flying that a new Beyoncé album is imminent but fans eagerly awaiting Act III of her trilogy will have to wait, TODAY has confirmed.

Here's the thing, I wouldn't count out The Sun. Especially when they spin something as an exclusive. Sure, they are tabloid most days, but I guess, in still having a wide readership that can dictate public opinion, labels absolutely do still use them to funnel tea to the masses. Particularly imminent drops (ala Madonna). So, the "rub" is typically that they get a days/weeks lead, which in turn renders their info "exclusive" for a very short while before xyz's official arrival snatches the heat away...if that makes any sense.

As for the Today Show thing and the general denial, it:

a) only really speaks to confirming that the specificities of the tweet's tea are wrong, but not what could be coming...albeit in a different way...within the same frame of time. She's effectively denying the particulars of the details not the macro narrative (that a new Bey era is nigh).

b) don't shoot me, but I actually like the way Bey's team handle what they address and when.

I hate to be "that" person, but maybe it's because I literally studied aspects of media and audience psychology that I think her team does right by her ish 95% of the time. Hence, her longevity and the fact the key folk have not changed. Her sustaining is not an accident nor is it solely on the merit of her talent or popularity. It's a lot of intentional strategy, which gratingly includes...inaction.

Take "She Knows" for example. So many of the Hive kept screaming for her camp to "issue a statement" and ""address the drama".

While inflammatory and scary in this day and age of misinformation and being accused, tried, convicted, and consequently canceled on social media sans any proof, it was ultimately a ludicrous, made-up out of thin air...rumor. Had team Bey "addressed it", that in itself becomes a/the story and pours crazy amounts of fuel on the fire. It's effectively all forgotten now, yet had they come down to the level of the cretins who made it up, it would be stamped in history as "remember that time Bey had to deny the She Knows rumors". On record forever and always, would have been her name alongside Epst*ein, even if just in a denial capacity. Every fight isn't worth it, even when it can look like one is on the ropes. Heavy on "looks like".

This whole thing of going out of their way to make headlines out of saying album is NOT coming out next week seems a bit unusual. Mainly because basically no one was saying that was the case.

So when Ms Kuwa says sth is coming, you say "i dont believe it", but with The Sun, you suddenly turn into a believer?

It's definitely intentional, there must be some psychologist on her team or something. Really smart and strategic they've been these past few days, to be fair.

Yvette is lying her ass off just like she lied when she said the tour wasn't coming after halftime performance. I mean everybody already knows new Beyonce music is coming. It doesn't have to be next week but we all know Act 3 era is about to begin.

A user that rarely posts here said he had an insider that told him that sth was coming in 10days, which happens to fall on next Thursday. This, in my opinion, seems to be way too specific and random to not be true.

It would also make sense that edgelord Yonce would use the Met Gala just to serve fashion while the world expecta sth music related, only to drop sth on the random Thursday right after.

Yes, it's a tactic to get the public talking about a lack of music in order to build anticipation for new music coming. Doesn't mean that it's coming right away, but this is definitely calculated.
