The MET and the interview are signs we are transitioning into act iii and I think I can finally discuss certain things (which we did discuss earlier but didn't want to reignite until we had official signs of era shifts).

B has said in the past that an artist must reflect the times, and her work post-4 has always done so consciously. What I am curious about is what her real vision was with the trilogy? Act - iii SHOULD reflect the times in its own way, and I don't really know how to tie it into a larger cohesive vision for the trilogy - if there is one. Same with the potential 'films' or visuals. Don't really know how to make sense of it, and the world has REALLY gone to the shits. There are some themes in CC and Renaissance about music being healing as the world ends, and that is the one thread I can rely on.

And if act iii is Rock and will reflect the times, will she this time hold back or really go all out and speak to the politics of the time? Especially cuz miss 'can we stand for something, now is the time to take a stand' didn't say anything during not one (Palestine) but TWO (Sudan - less political hot rod) genocides. Are her capitalist instincts going to keep act-iii contained as well?

She still cares about a legacy and 'empire' but I am struggling to understand her 'trilogy' vision beyond the basic reclaiming genres and we know damn well she doesn't do things thematically simple - she ambitious to her core! Even if priorities change.

All to say... hoping for the best and look forward to what we have in store. Act-iii is also going to come on the heels of American midterms, so even if we have to take her artistic stances as limited to the American project, that would count, imho.

Not to forget, she has cleverly used withholding visuals as a power - pun intended - trump card.

in my opinion the trilogy has multi meanings.

1 - reclaiming black art in spaces that faded over time. she using her name to take risks and break genres. i can see why there is less promo bc she making a statement that the industry puts black artists in a box of hip-hop/r&b and do not fully support the vision of blacks that step outside the box.

2 - the music and tour visuals for each act so far has its own emotional identity. renaissance is abt happiness, celebrating community, and being proud of who u are. cowboy carter is understanding who u are. knowing ur roots and identity. we see more frustration in this act bc there is a battle between personal identity vs how others define u. this concept was smart to tie w country music bc its a beloved genre in the US + subliminal statements how the american gov tries to control people.

theres other meanings but i got tired of typing ijbol.

From memory the start of Renaissance went from 317 million to 312 by the end of tour (Palestine folks). Cowboy Carter tour ended in 308 million (Diddy/Aaliyah rumors). She went from the most liked picture of all time to a complete flop on all socials. It's embarrassing that the Kardashians and Jenners are stomping on her. I dread the day TS eventually passes her. It's the only metric we have left against ha.

My friend never received the Beyonce.com merch he ordered in August, so maybe she's fulfilling these orders herself. A hard-working mother of three!
