"Hard Candy" is a better over ALBUM. But "Chromatica" has better production—it won't sound dated in five years the way Timbaland's and Pharrell's corny beats instantly did on "Hard Candy." Lyrically, they are about equal.

4 Minutes is better than every other song on Chromatica but as an overall album Chromatica is better

Hard Candy has some great songs (Beat Goes On, Miles Away, Give It 2 Me) and Chromatica has a couple of good ones 

Ik it's very disliked but imo

Hard Candy is one of the most fun albums of all time from start to finish and chromatica, while also a great album (imo better than mayhem, but this one is also great) as quite a few duds next to the bops like free woman, 911 and alice
