In case you've been living under a rock, the straights have a tea app where they share their experiences dating the opposite gender. It has exploded in popularity and is topping the App Charts.

 

Do we need something similar for our community .

Idk, but if they make one they would need to be very careful about restricting it to certain countries.  It would be devastating for gays in certain parts of the world (where homophobia is rampant) to be exposed like that.  And yeah, the gays are already awful enough to each other.  They probably don't need an app to tell the whole world about the underwhelming size of another man's penís.

I'm sorry but that would almost be guaranteed to end up with people dead due to doxxing, cyberbullying, revenge porn, stalking, and more. It's genuinely a complete disaster waiting to happen. The straight versions have already encountered some of these issues, and the ones for men were essentially started to platform behavior like this in retaliation for the one for women simply existing. These apps are a uniquely bad idea and we'd be one of the audiences most likely to be put in danger from something like this.

Great idea. Let's create an app so we all know where the gays live and other personal details. Have it be hacked, and threaten the lives of gay people during a time when homophobia still exists.

The LGBT community needs apps that foster collaboration and a sense of community. Before this administration we already had our share of issues that needed to be addressed... but right now, with what's going on an international level the last we need is an app encouraging foolishness and fuckery. 

and i know exactly who will fund that app

Everyone won't be compatible with everyone. These types of things are pointless. Just because someone isn't a good fit for someone else doesn't mean they wouldn't be a good fit for you. I've seen too much foolishness over the years to respect anyone who'd entertain what such an app would bring and cause.

There should be a Tea for buying drugs
