Should I start using Mounjaro?

"I have a daily battle with myself not to go on Ozempic," she told The Guardian. "I don't judge people that do, but because I have a history of eating disorders, I don't know where taking something like that would end for me."

I also have a history of EDs and I can relate to her so much. What used to help is that Ozempic, Mounjaro, etc. are not available for weight loss in Austria.

But I've now found an online pharmacy that ships within Germany, and I have a forwarding address in Germany. I just had to fill out an online questionnaire (where I made myself heavier than I am) and received a prescription for Mounjaro from a doctor.

I have to say that I'm of normal weight and know I don't need to lose weight, but I feel like there are so many people who use these things even if they don't need to.

That's exactly why I'm unsure about my decision.

What should I do?

You know the answer to this, but I'll validate it for you because I think that's why you made this post. Cancel the prescription.

They also loosing teeth like Robbie Williams - is that what you want?

No judgement but like....be honest with yourself: Have you tried using a personal trainer to keep yourself accountable? Put time and energy into learning about doing it without Rx? Its like sure you can go do Rx but why are you potentially putting yourself through side effects like nausea if you have never truly committed to counting calories or doing 10k steps a day?

Also I don't know if you are a gay man or not but like, being scrawny from ozempic is not the look. You wont gain muscle from ozempic.

You answered your own question. Only people that need to do it should do it, its an amazing medicine for those who need it. U will always feel the need to take it especially if u have an ED story. "There's plenty of people who don't need it that do it", yes, i know some, there's plenty of people that do anything, doesn't mean its good.
(i honestly feel they're getting weaker btw.. There's studies about it. They shouldnt be doing it.

its 100% not worth it for them — that again, don't need it — for those who need its great ofc).

You should. The truth is, obesity is a chronic disease that is very hard to overcome by just pure willpower and discipline alone. There are countless medical studies dedicated to this subject. Most people who tried might have success for some time but a lot of people regain the same weight they lost, if not more.

Weight loss medicine being normalized is not a bad thing at all.

There's nothing wrong with taking a drug that can ultimately make you healthier.   That's the point of most prescription drugs.   Looking at being thin as this virtuous thing you have to work hard for is garbage.

You'll be on it the rest of your life.  Once you're off it the weight just piles back on.

If you're okay with that go for it.

You should not use the health choices of celebrities as justification for your own decisions. A lot of them are probably being monitored by their doctors anyway.

You're free to do whatever you want, but Wegovy/Mounjaro is meant more for people who've been overweight+ for at least a few years and have struggled to lose the weight. It's a lifelong treatment.

I used to crave validation and would do crazy things for it, just for people to give me the answer to the questions that I wanted to hear. You should speak to a therapist rather than "asking for advice" on a music forum.
