Oh my god how did I miss this piece? I just went to read it, it's incredible. Although the lyrics you quote seem to be from the author of the article, I think?

Lets hope she adds more dates to her already sold out Europe tour.

Oh **** all those comments, this song is incredible. It's big and angry and chaotic and it's impossible not to hear an incredible evolution in the way she writes and creates, while still remaining true to herself. I hear echoes of VS&S, Big God, Choreomania in it... God, I'm blown away. 

This is incredible! Very PJ Harvey in a way that I don't think she's explored before. 
 

This is maybe one of her great(est song)s? Definitely has me much more excited for the album than "Everybody Scream" which I liked.

One of the greats is great. Love how clear her voice is in the mix, love the harp at the end, it sounds grand and expensive.

The new song is her best in years.

New interview out with Guardian Saturday tomorrow. Looks like it's gonna be a hard one, with her finally talking about her health scare.

The interview... We are so lucky to have her. There really is just no other current artist like her - so, so underappreciated. She's perfect

Also, just random blabbing, but I notice her albums seem to go in pairs:

 

- Ceremonials was a continuation / expansion of the sound she'd developed at the end of Lungs 

 

- HAH was the more feminine and gentle, lighter-sounding aftermath of the personal life progress she'd begun on the more masculine and louder HBHBHB

 

- ES thematically is clearly the horror 2.0, "wait, I have more to say about this actually!" to DF... I think ES may be the album about her professional career vs. personal life that she could have made if COVID hadn't made her "miss touring" and pivot DF. Also, both these albums are about her as a performer but the impact of extraneous factors (COVID, miscarriage)..

 

The chronology throughout her discography is so unique relative to any of her other peers - an ARTIST! I just LOVE her so much, and am constantly so impressed by her interconnected collection of work.
