The female rap genre is essentially driven by English markets (America making the vast majority of the sales for female artists) where we have actual published numbers, so it was the best way to test their "stats" since the rest of "global" pop girls have units from say "China" or some other country. 

 

Those English-speaking markets amount up to 90% of the market for female rap.

They have always been a biased "company". I clocked them a couple years ago for purposely inflating Nicki's stats and messaging the twitter Barbz to use their website as a "credible source". They purposely would miscalculate Cardi's stats too.

Nicki numbers by chartmaster are weird 

Chartmasters numbers were always all over the place and they inflate numbers. They are the equivalent of the 5 remaining britney middle aged gay fans saying she sold 200 million.  

Chart Masters numbers are converting all streaming units into units sold and then adding physical/digital sales. 

 

That methodology is kinda similar to the IFPI and labels methodology and their numbers are kinda similar to some artists sales reports (for example Rihanna and Katy).

 

Nicki's numbers are always inflated because her discography is inflated, she has released 1989 singles, remixes, collabs.

 

They are not an official source but let's consider that albums sales based in certifications are not 100% the total sales of the albums.

People that really follow charts for longer know that CM numbers are extremely inflated, and the French guy that runs it is a notorious fraud who was persona non grata at UKMix forum because his inflated numbers were always called out.

 

I wish fewer people would rely on his botted numbers, unbacked by any reliable source and made up from a basement somewhere in France, but I guess stans love to use fake numbers to justify their opinion on forums lol

CSPC doesn't claim to be "sales units". IT is their own formula, they have another section for sales.
