  1. "Victims of communism" is such a slippery slope topic because basically all people who fought against communism in the 30s and 40s were fascist or fascist affiliated... There are a lot of points you can make about how communism was horrible but glorifying people who fought against it especially during the interwar/WW2 period is not the wisest move to say the least
  2. I'm not sure if this is due to loss of interest on christmas music or just that Spotify removed the APK streams and also changed it's algorithm and autoplay rules, the most random songs would do 10m for days while this never happened this year
  3. Ugh. Didn't think that word would be censored.
  4. *** FOR TAT broke Tate's record for biggest daily and weekly debut on Spotify, it became her highest solo debut on the hot 100 at #3, and made a lot of noise on social media due to the song allegedly being about her relationship with Kid Laroi, the song was shaping up to be a massive hit for her, maybe on the level of greedy. However after 53 days the song is outside the Top 100 on Spotify Top 200 chart at #107, below Sports car and Just Keep Watching, and is just 53k streams away from being outstreamed by greedy. Why didn't this song become a much bigger hit like it seemed it would?

    Billboard Global 200 BOAF - #24 (+2) WILDFLOWER - #44 (+1) Ocean Eyes - #101 (+11) lovely - #155 (+18) CHIHIRO - #197 (RE)
  6. We can bring up Billboard Global 200, which not only counts streams for nearly every streaming platform worlwide but also filters spotify autoplay by counting them as free streams instead of paid ones, BOAF spent 58 weeks top 10 there and WF is still top 45 even with Taylor's album bomb, unless ofc, Billie is so powerful she's able to manipulate streams in every single streaming platform
  7. Lana resurgence happened some time after Ocean Blvd though, Ocean Blvd (song), A&W and Candy Necklace debuted with 2m each when they dropped but Henry Come On debuted with 3,3m this year despite it's only promotion being an IG post, her next album will have a much better debut
  8. This is the merch she's talking about by the way
  9. This video of this woman unironically calling Taylor Swift a nazi apologist for doing merch with a necklace with some lightning bolts has over 650k likes, they're accusing her of putting the lightning bolts as a reference to SS, and then the symbol in the bottom is another reference to an iron cross. This... crazy reach has hundreds of thousands of people agreeing with it, with many of the top comments having over 100k likes each too. What's causing this insanity regarding this album rollout?
  10. Tbh the hate for TTPD/Midnights felt kinda exclusive to twitter out of the main social media platforms, this time around I'd argue it's even worse on TikTok than Twitter which is crazy since they were absolutely obsessed (in a good way) with her in 2023-2024
  11. I mean... Yes she can do it, but I'm not sure if she's that invested in doing it, she's probably going back to an album every 2 years so I'm guessing it's going to take a bit over a decade until she reaches 19 #1's, also I doubt this album can get another #1 with this album because Ophelia is shaping up to be such a big hit no other song (even a second single by her) will displace it for a good time (other than the christmas songs)
  12. The I Love You, I'm Sorry singer liked an IG post of an influencer making fun of Taylor Swift songwriting and saying that she victimizes herself by saying her friends have betrayed her every single day of her life, this same influencer has made multiple videos insulting Taylor, including one where she says she's homophobic for writing Actually Romantic. What could have made the Eras Tour opener have such a huge shift regarding Taylor?
  13. If we just put "singles" as songs that were sent to radio in any format then Taylor last single to not peak in the top 10 was The Alcott in 2023, and then she'd be at 7 right now (Karma-CS-****!-IION?-Fortnight-ICDIWABH-Ophelia)
  14. How would banning non singles solve this?
  15. Apple Music US #4 - Magnet (=) #7 - Safe (+2) #12 - Pretty & Petty (=) #16 - Dead (+1) #19 - Hello (=) #27 - Outside (+1) #32 - ErrTime (=) #39 - What's Goin On (+1) #41 - Bodega Baddie (+2) #46 - Pick It Up (+3) #54 - Imaginary Playerz (+3) #63 - Salute (+3) #67 - Better Than You (+4) #70 - Man Of Your Word (+4) #77 - Shower Tears (+5) #93 - Check Please (+4) #94 - ErrTime Remix (+2) #101 - Principal (+3) #123 - On My Back (+5) #137 - Killing You Hoes (+1) #140 - Trophies (+7) #172 - Nice Guy (+7) #198 - WAP (RE) One thing about this fight... It's giving AITD more exposure than anything else Cardi could've done, these numbers are huge on AM even for male rappers considering it's been 2 weeks since the album was released
  16. I genuinely can't understand how christianity is so powerful in america, especially since 1 - america is rich and I thought the trend was that the richer you got the more secular you became and 2 - american christianity is so bizarre and feels so alien to catholicism or orthodoxy, how do people genuinely feel moved by these megachurches that make you feel like you're in a concert show and not in a religious place??
  17. You can really just say anything here and have tens of people replying with "Yes queen " because where did she even mention Palestine in there
  18. The real answer here isn't "good music", Beyoncé has more acclaimed and awarded albums that did worse commercially. The real reason why 4 and it's singles had great longevity was because Beyoncé was extremely relevant and successful from 2013-2017 on streaming and in pure sales and her success consistently boosted 4 sales, her Superbowl performance, Self Titled release, 2016 superbowl, Lemonade release, and all the tours and media presence in between slowly helped the album grow and surpass it's 2011 peers. Think of it about how Taylor 2020-2025 period massively boosted Lover and turned it into her most relevant seller even though it did worse than most of her albums in the first year or so.
  19. Yes, and I genuinely can't believe there's still 3 more years of this

Posted on her Youtube channel.... The grammy campaign is starting
  21. I think it's Come On Over by Shania Twain, it had 12 singles spanning through 4 years, most were supposed to break through a different audience outside of country (which 100% worked), massive tour with 165 dates, SO many TV performances literally everywhere you can think of, deals with many brands and multiple TV specials
  22. The biggest problem is not really population decline, it's more that there will be too many old/retired people compared to the younger working age population that will have to pay way more taxes to support them, when it reaches a certain point the welfare system will simply collapse because there's no way this can be sustained the older the people get Also an older population means less workforce and eventual economic stagnation, Japan has had low birth rates for half a century now and it's a big reason why their economy stagnated since the 90s, this can be solved through immigration but as we can see immigration is getting massive backlash all across the world right now so it doesn't seem likely either

Lord please let this be true. I'm not gonna be able to handle it if 2026 is just a year of droplets
