The M-Dragonite we got looks poorly designed and lazy. they could have been more creative with this one rather than just slapping some ugly ass wings on his head and giving him a longer tail

 

It's like they made it extremely simple on purpose because it's easier to make plushies when the design isn't too complex 

Dragonite has always been ugly in my books so it checks out

Honestly, the design is fine - I'm getting used to it. Much, much worse is GameFreak's ability to make a passable 3D model, in part hampered by their insistence on using models that are now over a decade old, with new ones being designed to fit in stylistically with those. The design isn't the issue at all - it's that they suck as developers lol. I bet you could make this design look stunning in like, Gen 4 style sprite art.
