  • there are threads made for albums way more boring tbf!

  • The "ex" finds out about you from a third party because your boyfriend couldn't even manage to be honest himself? And his immediate next step is to go to the lake with the very person he spent a year

  • He still has feelings for his ex situationship and he doesn't want him to know that he is dating someone else because he wants to keep the door open for him.   I'm so sorry.

You are, actually. Why hiding that information to a (I suppose) close friend, even if it's an ex?

It's your own fault for allowing that to go on for so long, honestly. If I were in that position, we would have been had a "Come to Jesus" moment. And the ex, for sure, wouldn't have been tagging along with us to a concert—with me having to pretend we weren't dating.

You're not being unreasonable, no, but you also allowed it to continue on. source.gif

:hoetenks:

Why does your boyfriend care if his ex situationship knows if he's in an actual relationship now ?

He's either a huge coward that doesn't want the ex situationship to find out because it'll hurt him, but your bf should not prioritize the situationship's needs over yours, that's crazy.

Or he's keeping the door open, if he didn't already walk through it.

I know the internet always say "break up" over nothing, but this is truly a just leave situation :skull: He sounds like a bum that enjoys only paying half a rent while he's out with his "ex". You can find someone that isn't going to hide you away.

Don't end up in a sunk cost fallacy relationship with this man, he's been disrespectful to you the entire time, it's not going to change.

Your "BF" sounds awful, please get your revenge on him and then leave his *ss asap!!!

why would he not want to tell him he has a boyfriend….

girl dump him

This is ******* weird / was a reason to break up already

Respectfully, you've been getting played.

You have every right to be upset your partner is hanging out alone with his ex and that your partner wanted you to hide your relationship from his ex. You have to question the intent of that - his ex is either unhinged, not over him, and/or super possessive and jealous. There are some immediate red flags that they still see each other and are playing in your face. I would tell him you're not okay with them seeing each other alone - if he responds negatively to that reasonable request, I think you should leave this man in the dust. Don't get played by things that defy logic.

You first need to find out why your bf wasn't telling his... ex-situationship or whatever he calls it.  That is unacceptable to me and you should have sat down with him and gave him an ultimatum many many months ago.

If he can't give you a clear and honest answer that you find believable, then you need to dump him.  That fact that he wanted to be in a serious relationship with this man and was rejected, only to end up dating you but still hang out with this man AND not tell him about you is very WRONG.

he cares for his ex boy and doesn't wanna fully lose him. theres no need to "find out", **** is clear as day. DUMP HIM NOW!!!!!!!

Ngl this is why I don't judge gays who are promiscuous because gay monogamy can be messy in its own way.

asking you to pretend you're not together at a concert is wild, especially since neither of you is in the closet...

let me tell you - I've been with my bf for 2 years, we're open and I am friends with my ex (although we live in different cities so I don't really speak to him often) - and I would never lie to my ex (or anyone else) about having a new partner. maybe if your bf and his ex didn't really talk about dating it would be understandable, but the fact that the ex fully MET YOU and you were introduced just as a 'friend'... honestly, I would be mad and confront my partner if he pulled this bs

Most likely yes, but the OP deserves to hear the truth from the mouth of his bf rather than assume and dump him anyway.

this isn't exactly gay monogamy

I don't play about MY MAN!

Gurlll protect what's yours and make it on sight!!

mmmhmmmmmm

I'd never put up with that and neither should you. He has no good reason to hide your relationship with you to his ex situation-ship.
You should go Outside.mp3 and find another guy who isn't straddling another gay around
