whats interesting aswell is that their streams are pretty spread out and have healthy gains all over the world, they are not getting carried by 1-2 big markets

i know this is random but their cross appeal reminds me a lot of Dua Lipa. obviously there are other acts with strong numbers in SEA and LatAm, but they have the same coolness and spotify-friendly vibe as her. i can see them growing a lot in LatAm like she did.

Just got into them over the weekend, they're taking it! 

I've been playing this nonstop since the KCAs spot.... but I didn't care for the snippet because it felt slightly too generic.

But after spinning it a few times they sell it well and hand choreography eats too (and actually Daniela ate that final bridge!)

 

They were soo charismatic at the KCAs, live appearances definitely do help and it was a perfect stage for them

 

They had 6m followers exactly two weeks ago and now they're on 6.7m right now (I even followed after the KCAs they were at 6.5m, 200k followers in a couple of days is crazy).

Their social strategy is taking it..

 

On Dream Academy the Missy girl was talking like they were going to be the "future" of Hybe and how they will eventually keep the company running/afloat one day and I kept rolling her eyes like girl it's not that serious.

 

But the growth from Touch to Gabriella (literally 3 singles) within 8 months is insane!

They 100% have something special with these girls... maybe a girl group resurgence is on the horizon

like you all, this is my biggest issue with them. I can usually tell who is singing what, but it takes EFFORT and it shouldnʻt. Itʻs definitely the producers and the label, cause their voices donʻt naturally sound as similar as they do in their studio recordings.

 

The AI 5H video really amplified this and showed fans that they really want distinctive voices from a GG

Their personalities are amazing and all of them are stunning. Hybe really hit a jackpot with this one.

I don't know if it's intentional or not, but so far 

most of Katseye's songs sound like they're sung by a single soloist, whereas with Fifth Harmony, you could always tell who was singing because each member's voice was so distinct. Tone-wise 5H eattt them up

tbh i think it's a strength. 

 

i love 5H, but the transitions between their tones were too jarring for their songs to transcend and become hits, esp when they did r&b. Camila taking it to Nickelodeon while Ally and Dinah took it to church.

They said in the making of video of Gabriela that they sung background vocals together on each girl's parts, so it's definitely intentional 

 

maybe it's for radio appeal?
