Five years for an album? Yeah, two of those years were spent watching both her parents battle cancer while her label twiddled their thumbs. RCA let her rot They handed her a debut era with no budget, no playlisting, and a rollout so half-arsed it's like they wanted it to fail. Name one other pop girl whose team didn't even bother booking her on late night shows during an "album push." You can't.  
 

And let's talk about "Motivation", a smash without label support. The industry was hungry for her. She had Rihanna posting her, Beyoncé's team eyeing her, and fans begging for more. But RCA sat on it. No follow-up single, no tour, no plan. That's not laziness, that's sabotage.  
 

Calling her a "backup dancer" is clown behaviour when your faves couldn't choreograph their way out of a TikTok trend.  But sure, keep screaming "SHE'S OVER!" while ignoring the real issue: the industry burns black women who don't fit their mold. Normani's sin wasn't laziness. It was trusting the wrong people to fight for her.  

I guess nobody wants to wake up to the news The Prophecy woke up to. Nobody. 

I always wanna see black women given their things but normani doesn't have the it factor in my opinion but you know what neither does Tate McRae, the difference between them I guess is maybe normani believes her work can sell itself without any promo or her putting herself out there because why is she not doing countless podcast interviews promoting her work or even doing endless promos on social media like baby girl before Beyonce or Taylor Swift could scale back on promo they had to put in the work.

 

I don't know normani's goal with her career but if she wants to be an established she's going to have to do something idk

A reunion would help the nost struggling ones (Dinah, Lauren, Ally) but Camila has been relatively successful enough and Normani could be if she released more). Anyway, its not up to you if the girls wanna reunite they should

Difference between Tate and Normani is Tate has been hustling and getting music out there. She released her debut in 2021, Think Later in Dec 2023 and her 3rd only a year and 2 months later girl has a hard work ethic.

Yeah I agree, I am probably projecting what type of aspirations normani has towards her career but if it was to be one of the leading pop girl then she squandered the online hype she had and she does not do anything

I wish Normani luck that be solo or as part of the group. Not sure I see the Beyoncé you see in her but her solo album was so good!

Btw why do we all assume that Normani ever wanted to be the "new Beyonce"? Maybe she's fine collecting social media checks, being a socialite and releasing once every blue moon. For all we know, she might be perfectly happy with how things turned out for her.
