she peaked her in terms of her English music

It has Did It Again which is like her best song. 

She Wolf (song) is one of the most unique pop songs ever created. Her creativity really peaked here. Men in this Town and Mon Amour are also worth mentioning. Unfortunately the album overall was very experimental and the 2nd least "Shakira" album in her discography (That honor goes to her self titled, ironically)

7/10 from me.

A fun campy electropop album. It has Men In This Town & Mon Amour so I can't accept any disrespect for it

Her last creative album. Honestly one of her bests  

As far as I know, this was Shakira's last album. After that she got Avril/Melissa'd.

one of the best albums from the electropop era cause this was not generic clubs songs only
this one mixed world music with electropop. pretty unique at the time

 

i just wish it was a bit more polished. I feel like phareell productions sometimes feel cheap-like demos.. all the albums he produced
i just wish it was longer too. shakira early albums suffered from short tracklists Shakifans should pressure shakira to talk about this record
this album was sabotaged by amanda from her label. she pushed back the record and ruined the chart positions of it

An absolutely incredible pop song, truly unique, daring, she took a big risk and it paid off.

I watched her tour this week and this, Loca, La Tortura, Rabiosa and Ojos Asi have been on constant rotation ever since

Song: One of the BEST and most camp pop girl hits ever lol! It's so damn good and it was ahead of it's time tbh 

 

album: a bit more of a mixed bag but it also had some really solid tracks like Men In This Town, Give it Up to me and Did it Again which were addictive even tho they sounded a little too much like demos / unpolished.

Yes, 2009 was full of great pop songs.

I still remember how much it was hated in the fandom, I'm so glad it's appreciated now 

The Spanish versions of all the singles are superior and the most clear example of how her writing style doesn't translate that well to english.

 

This was her first non great album imo. Her take on the late 00s popstar. She probably was like, "I'm in my 30s and only making albums every 4 years, lemme cash out and give these gringos the full popstar fantasy". I don't hate it but it's definitely the start of her creative decline.

A great, fun album.

My best friend and I once danced for an hour straight to this song in our apartment in Chicago while her boyfriend stared at us in disgust and he yelled at us for acting like drunken sluts. 

Honestly? It doesn't hold a candle to the genius of the Oral Fixations but it's definitely better than everything that came after it.

2008/2009 were such insane years for pop girls 

 

She Wolf is one of her best albums and I hate how underrepresented it was on the Sun Comes Out tour. She didn't even perform DIA... like gurl wtf. To this day she has never performed Men in This Town, which is absolutely ridiculous.
