Do you consider DL3 is a flop era?

Featured Replies

The album peaked no.1 and no.2 on uk and us bb, respectively. Over one billions streams by the end of the year.

Houdini peaked no.2 UK Singles Chart, no.11 on Billboard Hot 100 and no.3 on Billboard Global 200

Training season reached no4 on uk chart.

Her tour is selling well and in demand. Her concert at Glastonbury and Royal Albert Hall are well receive and acclaim.

She lives singing and dancing, improves a lot since her last tour, performances.

Do you think her third era is a flop after all?

It sold more worldwide than Cowboy Carter, and if that is considered a success, so is this

  • Underperformance but not a flop at all. Most girls would kill for these numbers

Yes, statistically it is a flop compared to her previous two albums    Radical Optimism only did 15 weeks on the BB200 and 19 weeks in the UK album chart… Future Nostalgia did more wee

Radical Optimism only did 15 weeks on the BB200 and 19 weeks in the UK album chart… Future Nostalgia did more weeks in the top 10 alone in both regions. It is a flop for her standards but she at least bagged one hit from it and a well selling tour. (and the album is still amazing btw) But it definitely was a flop.

So I guess we have another Witness situation when a forgotten album is being brought up every week on this site to discuss if it's really a flop?

Underperformance after a huge global smash (not up for discussion), but not a flop, Houdini and TS did well and they ate imo. RO had a lot of duds but some album tracks are hidden gems.

Dua is a star and the Royal Albert Hall performance showcased it in the best way possible.

#10 best selling female album of 2024 doesn't sound like a flop to me.

The whole top 3 year end on tost1's last.fm chart neither

Underperformance for Dua's high standards, overall a cute moderate hit

I'd say the album is kind of a flop yeah but I wouldn't say she herself is a flop now, in fact I think if anything the tour getting such good reviews shows that she's able to build momentum again for her next album

Yes, it bombed. She went from being in MPG conversations to being completely irrelevant

For what everyone expected from her after Future Nostalgia, yes. For today's pop standards, no. I think the era was super mismanaged. It could've been bigger.

Some girls wish to pull these numbers, so no. And she's hot. She'll rebound. :gayalipacat3:

Album yes, era no.

Even the tour will gross over $200M and Training Season / Houdini will reach 1B  before many top 10/#1s of 2023/24.

The tour is expected to gross over 200M right? So, no. The album kinda came and went but its first two singles really stuck with great streaming number even over a year after its release.

Y'all stop focusing on charts and streams when an era is so much bigger than that... Sales, tour, longetivity, merch are all factors to consider too.

we're still waiting for January to find out

yes, but she's dragged the era out so long with the tour that it doesn't seem as forgettable. she has a lot of faceless hits, a lot of people in my life say "i didn't know she sang this" when i play Dua videos

I can't find the gif but it's giving that graph of Ciara's album sales decreasing

But was this album really arts not charts?!

Felt like Dua on autopilot to me.

I mean it's not a bad album but it's not exciting either.
