I don't understand why she even dropped This Love TV. I know it was featured in that TV show but Wildest Dreams & Bad Blood were also featured in films/trailers and didn't get released. 

Wildest Dreams only finally got released because it went viral. Which is what happened to Enchanted and we didn't get that song as a single.

What was the point in putting out another 1989 single when it's clearly not coming anytime soon?

The person who gave the tip was only aware that she was attending the afterparty, they didn't really allude to her skipping the actual show.
