I don't know about you, but I believe in a scrapped CS MV

She never got to record any footage for the video.

It's clear to me that the next album should be a concept album telling a whole fictitious story.

We already know that she can write story arcs spread across multiple songs:

Cardigan/ August/ Betty

My Tears Ricochet/ Hoax

This The Damn Season/ Dorothea

And that she can come up with complex and compelling grey characters (TLGAD, Illicit Affairs...), so it's only logical for her to take it a step further and to basically write a novel set to melodies and music.

She can name the songs like:

1- Epilogue.

2- Chapter One: ...

...

16- Prologue.

:jonny:

She can do a storyline set in Hollywood like "The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo", in which case the music could be retro cinematic ambient baroque pop, or a folk horror storyline like "We Have Always Lived in The Castle" and with that she can continue down the rustic, woodsy Folkmore sound.

How would she even make a Cruel Summer MV when's she not even willing to kiss in a video anymore. It would just be another disappointment like Style's video.

It could be a high concept video that doesn't have anything to do with the lyrics of the song like Gaga's Alejandro

She has done a lot of great music videos without a kiss.

are you kidding? Lover is one of the most romantic and gorgeous videos we have seen from anyone, and that didn't involve a kiss, willow was amazing too!

Cruel Summer is all about hooking up, that's much tougher to avoid a kiss(and more) than traditional love song.

i said this once and ill say it again: i wish shed do a proper concept album. the whole album would tell a story, be it horror, romance, or crime. if it were a horror story, id like to hear the haunting, creepy and scary music with some jump scares in between :jonny5: would be her fourth AOTY :gaylorcat2:

(actually i have this whole thing in my mind with ideas but im sure shed write a much better story)

She really should send Cruel Summer to radio and make a video, it would 100% be a smash

And may as well send "Exile" to radio in the fall

And "Don't Blame Me (Taylor's Version)" in the spring along with the Reputa re-recording

Get those three hits that should've been!

Good idea, but probably not for  the NEW chapter TS10, her first double-digit album, which is as important as TS13.

I've changed my mind, TS10 will not be the same genres as the re-recordings (based on the process), her first rock album is not impossible to be released so early any more. I still think soft rock fits her the best, even better than country, not just regarding story-telling.

For her re-recordings, I never thought Speak Now (another fan favorite like Red) would be the next, some members in this smart base thought the same way, no matter what they/we read, now it seems we were right, 1989 (like another AOTY Fearless) should be the one, Speak Now is one of her best (for me Red is still her best so far) if not THE BEST (for many members here), but don't forget it's solely written by Taylor Swift, obviously also one of her own favorite maybe THE FAVORITE. A good team will persuade her (the good boss) to delay its re-releasing, what's the urgency of RE-recording a solely written album? Also sometimes we can leave the best later if not the last, right?

TS10 might be released right after 1989 TV. Plenty of stories in the past years not just the pandemic. The endemic, perfect timing...if these countries stop feeding COVID and its variants.

TS10 will be like Red the fascinating photo album. I was waiting for it to replace Red on the top of my list.

Like rock albums, Taylor Swift should release an album named SEX :heart2: I think it's good time to do so NOW, if music is indeed her dairy

the re recording era was so exciting to begin with but now I’m just over it, idk the random droplets, her making it seem like she wanted to get them out as quickly as possible, the damn merch… it’s all a mess

I’m sorry but at this point it feels that she doesn’t give a sh*t about her career anymore. She calls out netflix for that joke but then she willingly decides to work with an abuser in a movie that it’s gonna give her 5 mins of screentime. No info about the rerecordings (i dont even feel excited about the rerecording anymore) other than just to send her crazy fanbase to bully and pressure artists managed by scooter, what about tweeting “hey this is gonna take more time than expected”. She doesnt owe us anything but if she takes advantage of her fans (merch, netflix drama, damon albarn) how about sending one single tweet explaining what is going on. And yes, she does have power over her merch just like halsey fired umg merch because of all the drama surrounding it. She drops stuff just to forget about it the following week. Don’t bother telling me “you wouldnt have survived 2016” because i have been a fan since 2008 and tbh this is the first time i have lost interest in her career. I love her but lately she has been making too many questionable career decisions and I’m not just taking about the music. This is not hate, I just wanted to share my opinion and I would love to read what you guys think too, whether you agree or disagree with me.

I honestly think you’re overreacting tbh. Taylor - like any other celebrity - is a hypocrite. But that isn’t a new revelation. There were always times when she did questionable things so I don’t know why you think this time is different :michael: I don’t know if you’re from the US but I always see a correlation between political events happening there and the reaction fans have towards Taylor’s behavior. Now that Roe v Wade got overturned and everyone is on edge people think criticizing their fave celebrities is the morally right thing to do when it doesn’t do ****. I’m not saying that what Taylor is doing is right and I would fully understand if people want to unstan. I just don’t understand why you would think filthy rich celebrities are morally and politically aligned with you own ideologies in the first place. The merch is a perfect example. Why would she change anything when people still buy it? This is just like any other multi-million dollar company. They don’t give a **** about anything but profit. But all this has been the case for a very long time and it’s not Taylor-specific, it’s just how the music industry works these days.

Regarding the re-recordings I’m honestly not that critical. The surprise announcement is the only thing she has. We know pretty much everything else about the album. Also I’d rather have her take her time and do the originals as much justice as possible than her pumping out an re-record every few months.

Also there could be external reasons: law suits, vinyl production etc.

I’m not from the US, while I know some general stuff about what is happening there I’m more focused on the politics of my country. Regards the merch idk I’ve seen son many already rich artists caring about what their fans think about the merch.

The way it's been stated time and time again why Speak Now, 1989, and reputation TVs can't be released right now it laughable. Or people just blindly overlook it so they can faux outrage for a "got her" moment towards Taylor.

I'd say she had 1989 and Speak Now finished but her legal team advised her to wait cause releasing another version of SIO while it's caught up in that trial would look bad on her part. Thus she'd lose even more money if she loses the case. And with Speak Now I'm sure her team are just as irritated but that's on them for letting the copyright expire last year. Which is the cause for the ugly merch and phones cases. She's having to prove she still "uses" the SN copyright from what I've read here and reddit.

Reputation is obvious why she can't even touch it right now. And why would she even risk it?

That only leaves the debut album and I feel she might've not even began working on it so plans changed with all the drama involving 1989&Speak Now right now.

But if it keeps y'all fuming I hope she takes as long as she wants. :coffee2:
