Yes!! finally someone who likes I Know Places. been my favorite 1989 song for years!! and one of the few where the TV version is better than the OG. I LOVE when Taylor growls.

I like the live instruments. for a long time now, I want her to do an album with live instruments!! i've had enough with the 80s synths. but I also want upbeat bangers with electric guitar, bass, drums. like Better Than Revenge and Haunted style. that's my vibe. but it'll never happen. we're stuff with ******* Jack till the end of time.

Pitchfork: 10/10 Which is why I don't care what pitchfork or any reviews say about my favorite things (video games,music). I don't go to metacritic to see the rating. I never read reviews.

Maybe because i'm not that attached, I don't mind most of the TV's. her biggest fumbles are the biggest hits. Style TV is the worst one along with We Are Never, I Knew You Were Trouble.. in general I listen to the TV's because I love her older vocals.

I don't care for debut tv or rep vault anymore. even though I LOVE Debut and it was my most anticipated TV along with Speak Now, I no longer feel the need for them since she owns them. I wasn't one of the swifties who only streamed her versions. I always streamed the OG. just now the "magic" of the tv's is gone (for me). it's not necessary.

100%. just some of the stuff I saw on the internet was so strange and dumb "it's hard for me to say but I can't be a swiftie anymore" and I was like, OK, did we ask? So melodramatic. We all have our opinion. Of course we do. Maybe it's me. I'm a swiftie since the Speak Now era and I never had this feeling of "Taylor's work is bad I think I'm done with her. If course there are various reasons to unstan like growing out of an artist's music, not relating to it anymore etc. Thus knee-jerk reaction is just weird (from swifties).

100%. definitely. though this album cycle feels like a lot of hardcore swifties who are truly fans have turned on Taylor. but they will return to check TS13.

I agree with you but also, I don't know, Showgirl feels different than other releases. every release have the hate circle of course, but this album cycle has so many hardcore swiftie haters. fans who are actually hardcore fans hating it. THEY WILL show up for TS13 to see what it's like, but it feels like the swiftie ground is shaking up a bit, of losing loyal swifties. they're not gone yet. but if TS13 will be similar. it'll shake the fandom. that's why i'm very curious what Taylor will do. it's so much pressure for her to deliver.

She used to change it up until 1989. she still worked with Nathan Chapman until 1989 (which I actually like that she's loyal to some of her collaborators like her team, her dancers etc) but Nathan did one song on 1989. she wanted to grow. the Jack of it all ruins it for me. and i'm not saying I hate all of his songs. my tears ricochet is in my top 10 all time favs but enough is enough. if they had tried to experiment more, sure, i'm all for it, even if it doesn't land well. (I love Closure but I don't like it's nice to have a friend), she feels too comfortable with Jack and now Aaron, though I like Aaron instruments a lot more than Jack. honestly, I don't mind Jack. but I don't want an entire Jack album of Taylor. Midnights was too much Jack and the songs I do like are the ones who Jack was part of it but not him alone (Lavender Haze had Sounwave), Glitch and WCS and High Infidelity are all songs that Jack wasn't the only producer. i'm tired of him. again, she's just too comfortable with him to the point where it became stale and boring. they're best friends, they hang out outside of working. they've probably reached a point where they don't need to talk to understand what the other wants to do.

One thing's for sure, Jack is returning... ugh I hate their work together. but I know they'll work together forever. I want her to work with new producers. ones who will challenher her. she said in the grammy museum interview she loves to work with people of "yes and..." but in reality all her work with Jack has been SO SAFE because they're so comfortable with each other, which is great for her but the music has become so boring and safe. I LOVE Aaron and his style but it's true (for me) for him too. if she'll keep working only with them, it'll become tiring. I don't like I Knew It. I don't have it. just same ole Jack. i'm music first, lyrics second and if the music doesn't grab me, you kinda lost me. and I don't care how versatile Jack is with other artists. I don't listen to other artists. his work with Taylor has become boring. their songs go nowhere. stays flat. no beat drop, no change of style. nothing. but I know they'll work together forever. which connects me back to the swifties who ***** and moan about showgirl right now. I don't go around bitching and moaning how I hate it. I do that right now haha. but i'm not going to go every opportunity I have to trash it. obviously swifties love them. i'm not gonna go to a Jack fan and say haha he is trash. my taste is better. because it's not. rant over.

I'm gonna say an unpopular opinion amongst the swifties but LWYMMD is one of her worst songs ever. reputation is my #1 album but that song is so bad. Gorgeous as well. I hate her glitter gel pen (the over the top bubble gum ones. can't stand them) until Travis. which is part of the reason i'm Perplex with swifties who have SUCH a struggle with Showgirl. she ALWAYS had dumb, corny songs EVERY album. "karma is a cat purring in my lap. Stay Stay Stay, How You Get The Girl, ME!, etc maybe because there were more songs that they could chew on so they didn't mind about the corny songs. but Taylor was always cringe. always corny. she even says so herself

I wonder how much this hate is impacting her going forward to TS13. how much it will affect her. we remember the scene in Miss Americana saying she needs to make a better record after reputation. We know she is tapped in to the reception of her work. I just hope it doesn't impact her emotionally and she knows what to do next. of course she'll get hate no matter what she'll do for TS13 but with showgirl it feels a lot of swifties are so out there I wonder if she takes it in and ponder if she wants to pivot or what If i'm in Taylor shoes i'm so confused and terrified what to do next, when to release it. it's frighting BECAUSE it came from swifties

I'm all for whatever Taylor does next but the swifties pushing wanting debut next or wanting country next makes me wanna push back on what fans want. I don't want Taylor to cater to what the fans want. I don't want country. and I don't want Jack. I want new collaborators

That's what I have in mind. reflection. on her career, her life, her friendship relationships, her romantic relationships. hardships. that's what comes first to my head when I think of TS13. I so don't wanna be her right now when TS13 is next. esp. after the reaction to Showgirl. so much pressure. we know she's good at pressure because she loves to prove haters wrong. but i'm worried for the reception of TS13 right now. she can't release it next year (until October 2027) everyone will come at her so bad that she's not taking a break.

I wasn't here but Showgirl is my most streamed album every month since it's release. I wasn't here since the OG release but even then I just don't engage with people who hate the album, because what? i'll try to change their mind? no. it's because it's release day so everybody voice their opinions. Honestly I don't understand the hype over I Knew It I Knew You. I literally listened to it twice and never again. so meh. it's fine but boring and a nothing burger. guess it's all the swifties who can't stand Showgirl that had to be "oh, we're so back" well, good for them.
