Wood and Father Figure are actually pretty decent tracks but the writing really let them down… especially the former.

I still think the only real moment of greatness here is Ophelia… and that's not really changed since Day 1.

Actually Romantic is actually quite fun and enjoyable and I love it more for how badly it infuriated the crackheads on the internet.

Even though she is just listing **** the entire song and there are some clunky lyrics, Wi$h Li$t melody is still so enjoyable to my ears. It remains firmly seated as the 5th best song on the album for me.

Knowing her, it wouldn't be surprising if she had prepared a "b-side" with 12 songs.

The harmonies and the vocals layering on Wi$h Li$t are divine and it is a very cute pop song.

It's fun because I have a very hot best friend who is lowkey my boyfriend so I can relate to it.

Honestly, I use 1-7 quite a bit. Most of the other songs would be fine on a 31-songs album but they're not good enough for a short one

I remember the first time I listened to the album, the second that Wood came, my friend and I looked at each other and said, "it sounds exactly like a **** would if it was a song" in sync

My issue with the album, personally, is less that any individual song is all that terrible - even Eldest Daughter for its several cringe lyrics has strong melodies and an incredible bridge - and more that it doesn't really come together as a cohesive project that feels like it has a sense of direction, identity, and purpose. It feels like just a bunch of songs she wrote while she had some time between Eras Tour shows and had Max Martin on the payroll for a minute. She says there's a common theme stitching it all together in the whole "peek behind the curtain" concept, but it still feels like a very patchwork, disjointed piece in the end to me. Maybe a deluxe will help things come together, if that's what's coming soon.

Not for me sadly. the dick line on the chorus completely takes me out of the song. I tried very hard to get used to it and… yeah it just never stuck.

I think if she saved it for a moment on the bridge (when she goes into "evil mafia boss" mode) it could have worked.

And taking the Charli drama out of the equation.,. I think AR is a poor track outside of the bridge.

Oh well. Onwards and upwards!

The writing on FF is very Midnights-esque. Y'all just let the snark get to you

the only tracks I TRULY don't care for are eldest daughter and title. 1-4 and Ruin are actual classics to me while the others are cute bops in their own right! So 10/12 ain't bad at all. A bulletproof deluxe could greatly elevate it for me
