Lmk what you think girl

Really happy about the deluxe. I had to hide Glow on Spotify and these new tracks make up for that. It also boosts my overall scoring for the album. Period is definitely now in my top two Kesha albums. I love this album.

So she's to blame for Love Forever sounding bland :clack:

No I think that's because Stuart Crichton is one of her less good collaborators that I kinda wish she'd stop working with. :suburban:

ah pitchfork with their predictable ass bait and switches putting this great album on their weekly "albums you should listen to" feature and then proceeding to give it a 5.1… losers :oxygen2:

thank you its perfect!

pitchfork review reads as really lazily written and doesn't even relate . to Gag Order at all… they should hire me c̶a̶u̶s̶e̶ I̶'m̶ a̶c̶t̶u̶a̶l̶l̶y̶ a̶n̶ a̶n̶i̶m̶a̶l̶ cause I would've actually related this album to her previous albums in a way that's meaningful and frames it in a light that's more appealing. I mean really? starting the review with "[t]he one truly positive takeaway from Kesha's first album out of Dr. Luke's clutches is that she has never not been herself in the nearly two decades since she arrived on the radio" ???? the ONE truly positive takeaway? like suck my d*ck :juanny:

not only is the score very harsh but the review is lazy, short and says basically nothing except, and I hate to say this, "we hate fun."

exactly! it feels like post-Gag Order they're completely losing the thread of who Kesha is as an artist. to those of us who are longtime fans, it's obvious that she can't be pinned down. I wouldn't be surprised if she made an album sonically in line with Gag Order again at some point, but she's never really made the same album twice, which makes her so special to us

We don't love miss girl because she is critic's pick. Also the review was kinda well written and made several points  It wasn't hateful but constructive and will get people talking so hey, who cares.

Edit: I see I had a different takeaway from it :rip: Idk why people put so much stock in what Pitchfork says. Their finger hasn't been on the pulse much these days, it's really not a big deal. I do agree that it's not her strongest album and that she has better in her in the future!

Literally my fave

I'm sad! I came with a friend who has never seen her (I've seen her four times) and we aren't going to be able to go to the postponed tomorrow 🙃

sorry I didn't mean to seem like I put a major amount of stock into what they say, I just like reading them occasionally when they review music by the people I love! I understand what you got from it and that totally makes sense, but personally I feel like they could've done a better job of relating it to Kesha's journey as an artist including albums like Rainbow and Gag Order, neither of which they mentioned :giraffe: yeah this isn't my favorite Kesha album and I know she'll make ones I'll prefer to it, but I do enjoy it
