Is gettin' good reviews? Wow!

Slant and Paste sadly gave it a 5/10 each :skull:.

Manifesting there will be many reviews for this to balance it out.

Edit: @kos1692 Don't shoot me, I'm just the messenger.

I'm choosing to be delusional for a couple of more days and convince myself that other variants have different packaging when I know for a fact this does not make sense.

:suburban:

I just want the other variants to have a different period to match the vinyls but I fear that's not happening

so far, with reviews that count for metacritic we have:

rolling stone: 80

slant: 50

paste: 50

that averages to a 60, but metacritic uses a weighted average, so let's say it is around 63-65?

i think it will end up somewhere around high road's score (73). let's hope for many reviews and, hopefully, some 90-100 scores to balance out the lower ones.

this nasty man trying to block kesha from #1 the top 5 :clack:

Girl we are hoping for Top 40 atp.

just listened to The One finally! it's beautiful, sonically it's giving Blind mixed with a few Warrior songs kinda :jamming: very early Kesha, I'm also getting 2025 version of Styrofoam sonically in. way :clap3: maybe a few moments of Little Bit of Love in there too. just a great mélange of classic Kesha stylings on this song, can't get enough of it already!

I think the tracks I'm most excited about are Freedom and Cathedral :jonny5: also Too Hard since I don't know anything about it! how bout y'all?

I just listened to some of the leaked outtakes from this album and my god. Her unreleased discography is unmatched.

Some of these should NOT have been chopped, especially since it's only 11 tracks long. They could've used some refinement sure, but these BOPS would've been a great addition.

Love my queen, but Delusional (her favorite) and Yippee-Ki-Kay making it on there instead really solidifies my doubt in her personal taste :suburban:

omg I'd love to check some of these out! idk any of the titles though, should I just go to the Kesha wiki to find some titles? (not wikipedia of course, i'm talking about the ol' fanpage)

I feel so bad for neglecting this thread lately and kinda ignoring this album for a bit :biblio: I've just been very obsessed with other albums released by other favs of mine this year. but it's your moment again Kesha, my ears and eyes are wide open and ready to dive back into this era

in general, idk about any tracklist final cuts but from whats leaked so far:

  • If I Was U
  • Bop It
  • Good Man
  • Good Girl
  • Oh My God
  • Existential Crisis Song (Got too High Again)
  • Do You Really Know Anybody? (i think only snippets leaked)

and from unleaked titles:

  • Get Out of My House (aka DIY i believe)
  • Fun
  • Do It First
  • Wildlife
  • Chakra
  • Mercury
  • Nothing In Life Can Kill You Like Love
  • Love Worth Dying for
  • Give Me a Reason (i believe this was first teased on Instagram long before JOYRIDE was teased, around the time Gag Order era ended)

oh thank you darling! sorry i didn't see this before oops

Oh My God is hauntingly gorgeous :jonny5: for those who've listened to the album leak, are there any songs this haunting and moody on Period? what a psychedelic stunner!

Good Girl is cute, but not particularly special in the grand scheme of Kesha sexy bangers. it kinda just feels like a watered down Big Bad Wolf, maybe a grower? either way, I can see why it was scrapped

Existential Crisis Song is AMAZING :jonny5: it's very raw and almost hip

hop soul vibes? the chorus is SO classic Kesha in how light and poppy it is! my god the guitar line throughout the song is so simple yet so infectious ahhhh this could've been such a big hit

Good Man is super pretty, I'm noticing a trend in the production on these outtakes (other than Bop It which is classic irreverent sexy Kesha, have loved it for months now) in that they all sound like live coffeehouse sessions… I could use a whole Kesha album in this vein! I know it'd be divisive even for longtime Animals who've enjoyed her unreleased music, but idk I think it's such a phenomenal vocal showcase. look at me analyzing unreleased Kesha songs in depth like this lmao :biblio:

Shopping has flavors of Crane Your Neck by Lady Lamb in the guitar riff and, again, the coffeehouse indie vibes. I keep waiting to hear her sing "I pressed my ear against your back…" :dies: it's a good fusion of indie rock intimacy and Kesha brand camp pop :clap3:

Bury Me in Gucci has more of the coffeehouse intimacy of Oh My God and Good Man, but more goofy like Shopping. it sounds like a jam session, very cute lol

If I Was U I actually remember leaking on twitter in like December or January? but part of me was really holding out hope that it'd be on . but under a different title perhaps. it's a banger :clap3:

I think my favs of these new unreleased are Oh My God, Existential Crisis Song, and Good Man, but tbh they're all very good additions to her unreleased catalogue which I've obviously been obsessed with for a decade and a half now  thank u for reading
