It's kinda Miley's best album, that sound really suits her. Midnight Sky deserved to be as big as Flowers

unfortunate that it falls off with the last four tracks

By the fandom it does, it's largely considered her best

Its a good album but the last few songs are kinda meh. Especially Bad Karma, Never Be Me and Golden G String.

I personally don't find endless summer vacation AS strong but still a very fun album

It's actually her most streamed album on Spotify, I was surprised to see it.

It's a fantastic album and by far my favorite album released this decade.

But at the same time there's a problem with the trackslist and cohesiveness. 

Some songs don't fit the album at all even if they are good or ok 

Plastic hearts, Angels like you, High, Hate me, Bad Karma and Golden G string, all feel like the could have been a different album because the production is so different from the rest. Maybe changing the tracklist could have worked but it's not cohesive the way it is now. 

Midnight Sky alone deserved to be as big as Flowers. So no, it still feels like it's not appreciated enough

I need her to release a deluxe of Plastic Hearts for 5 years anniversary this year (she has so many great unreleased songs from that era) and I think it will have the moment of appreciation finally 

It should have been a way better rock/disco album tbh Midnight Sky and Prisoner are perfection, the rest is just average and uninspired. I was really let down by that album

I think it does Angels Like You went viral on streaming after Flowers 

Imagine thinking that Prisoner is perfection and songs like Angels Like You and WTF Do I Know are "uninspired". We listen AND we judge. 

 

Plastic Hearts should've been much bigger than it actually was, but it still did a lot for Miley's career. After a string of career mistakes, it was what brought back to her many casual listeners that weren't really paying attention since 2014.

 

Not to mention that Angels Like You became her second biggest hit from this decade, it has over 1.1B Spotify streams and still pulls 600k-700k daily streams. It's not like PH is some obscure forgotten album, it's doing fine.

Mind you this is a non-single track. PH really was a major improvement for Miley coming from Younger Now and She is Coming.

Never Be Me should have done something - a single, a movie feature, idk but SOMETHING. Some of her best songwriting on that song

Plastic Hearts has all the flowers in my heart.

 

Justice for Golden G String, her best ballad!!!
