Why were Katy's threads when the pics are posted on Met Gala Official IG itself? 

I hadn't thought too much about the recent influx of thread merging over the past couple weeks, but I do think it's starting to get just a little bit out of hand.

 

For example, why was a thread asking how TFM overcame the "dated" narrative merged with a thread asking how Gaga overcame the "streaming poison" title? Just because they are about two ATRL Gaga narratives being overcome doesn't mean they are asking the same question, at all.

 

 

 

Was the second thread really needed? Perhaps not, but is it suddenly against the rules to open threads like that? Is part of the foundation of ATRL not these types of discussions? What is gained from the increasing amount of merges — does it help the site run smoother or something?

They were both rather low level topics and definitely do not merit special threads for each thought.
