He should've released this as his first post-MONTERO single. It probably wouldn't become a big hit either way, but would've done much more for his career than that tired J Christ mess.

 

It sucks because he's at that point where most people won't give him a chance or even bother streaming any of his new material.

He has to get a little further along in the campaign for people to be open to changing their minds. The album and tour will need to deliver. This is what he's been needing to give for years, so hopefully he sees it as a challenge.
