Beyonce is #1 with 35 (and counting). Nobody is catching her

ย

Alison kraus and Aretha franklin are up there.

ย

But looking at the pop girls of this century, who will end up #2 after Bey?ย

ย

Alicia keys has 18, Adele has 16

ย

Lady Gaga has 14, Taylor Swift 14,ย

ย

Billie Eillish has 9 in such a short time.

ย

Or will it be someone we don't even know?

ย

Who will it be?

Taylor. Adele is too slow with releasing content. Alicia's time ist Up. GaGa could be too with the right music.

I feel like Taylor has the potential to rack up a number of Americana wins in her later years if she ever decides to pursue it (Bonnie Raitt, Roseanne Cash style). Barring that, it's probably gonna be Gaga or Billie of these options.ย

Gaga, Taylor or Alicia

ย

Gaga - mainstream artists typically win Best Traditional Pop Album when nominated (she's probably going to win next year for Harlequin), and relevant enough to win in the pop field with hits (Shallow, ROM, DWAS) or a fractured field (Joanne). Probably ends her career with around 20 wins

ย

Taylor - only typically wins when she's undeniable (critically or commercially) but can see her going down a Mavis Staple-Roseanne Cash respected elder statesman of the American Roots branch.ย Probably ends her career with around 20 wins.

ย

Alicia - she won this year for her musical, probably done unless she goes down a more traditional / old schoolย path. can also see becoming a darling of the arrangement / instrumentalist field - kinda like Collier or Andre 3000.

I said it before, but Taylor going back to country (as opposed to indie / folk / ar which your also suggesting) is the ultimate "break glass in case of emergency" / "ace card up her sleeve" that's she's got and can wait at least another 10-15 before using it.

Gaga probably has many best dance recording (is that the name) and pop duo/group grammys left to win. The other pop categories are not out of the question either, including traditional pop.ย
ย

Alicia Keys probably has many R&B Grammys left in her.

ย

Taylor's lack of support in the pop field is not a good look for her. She can become competitive again in the country field; americana too I suppose if she feels like it.

ย

Adele is doneย

Billie has peaked for now , they want something different from her to keep awarding her. Adele just needs a good comeback.ย

ย

Lady Gaga does well in the pop categories but those are too competitive .

ย

Alicia Keys has the best chance since older RnB voters view her as a veteran of the genre and will just pick her name whenever its on the ballot , she just needs to go back to making pure RnB.

Yeah. She has so many interesting potential career options. I assume she stays pop as long as top 40 plays her. Then she can do a good decade of AC pop, Buble and Bareilles style. She'll have to do the big "return to country" era in her 40s as well, after that it'll be too late to score any hits off of it. Past 50 I think she should go fully singer songwriter and alternate between Americana and traditional pop projects. ย

Feel like Gaga's in a good positiohn to keep winning, especially with the Best Pop Dance Recording cat which she'll certainly win next year.

Gaga honestly, i won't be surprised if she wins like two or more next yearย

Adele with 16 wins over 4 eras is INSANE to me (basically every era awarded)

ย

Shes def the next if she releases moreย

Can't wait for her post chasing sales career

Speak Now and folklore/evermore being the albums she made when she had the freedom to do anything she wanted and wasn't just trying to chase hits or sell out stadiums. Gods I can't wait until she's 45.

From most likely to least:

ย

1. Billie: She is young and just three albums in. She has so much to offer...

ย

2. Gaga: After Beyonce, she has the most potential of winning in different categories/genres. Traditional Jazz album/Pop Duo/Soundtrack are lowkey cheatcode for her.

ย

3. Taylor: She is massive and going to remain massive for at least next 10 years. But looking at her overall wins, her massiveness doesn't translate to wins.

ย

4. Adele: She is lazy, otherwise she would have easy pick after #2.

ย

5. Alicia Keys: Yeah I don't see her going past 20 grammys, while i do see potential in others.

Gaga has more probabilities for wins : Jazz, Pop, dance etc, after that Taylor.ย
