The fact that SKZ didn't even have a US distributor or US label until 2022, and now they are already #2   That means that they sold 3.07M pure albums in the US in the span of 3 years only These legends!

I missed the discourse but Hearts2Hearts their debut is so disappointing for me as a sheep.

Zero SM secret sauce, could be released by any company. No immediately clear vocalists, easy listening vibe. It's not a bad song but it's not what this company is for.

If the true SM dies with Aespa then I'm at peace with that ig. It was a good run

They're gonna do another single album in June (confirmed April-June) and probably a mini in October. It's perfect timing and they're playing it smart. Give them enough material and time so when Ye-On is old enough, they can tour and release that first album.

That's because they changed concepts so late and the company struggled with direction and promotion. They were going to be H2H'd/NJ'd with those White Fox leftovers and Giselle had them switch it up. They got mixed reviewed at first and SM scrambled in A&R and wanted to find the right ways to promote. It's why Forever is such a generic SM song and got released so quickly - SM had it in the bank and knew it would sell to SEA.

BATTER UP wasn't announced as their official debut single as they were not supposed to promote it.

Just like KARD's debut wasn't Oh Nana (neither Don't Recall or Rumour) but Hola Hola. Mind you KARD actually toured with those 3 predebut singles in Latin America and Korea.

Yeah, it's a fun fact that doesn't seem real but is real. The song was leaked on Taeyeon's Chin Chin Radio Show, the day of the MV Teaser was released. While Pledis CEO blamed MBC, MBC blamed Taeyeon they made it as if she was the one who chose the song to air.
