I'm a little behind on some releases but there's kinda been a shocking amount of great Kpop recently? STAYC's "I Want It" is a SOTY contender. Two boy groups - AHOF and Close Your Eyes - are releasing good music, and it's rare to find boys capable of doing anything well. Even older bands like Ateez dropped Lemon Drop & In Your Fantasy, which are good songs. I'm used to older bgs relying on the Western market for success, and instead of stealing Timbaland's music (like Ateez did), they steal music from Drake or Travis Scott, and that's not really music, is it? That's delusion. 

 

There's also ifeye, which has a heinous band name, but dropped another SOTY contender called "r u ok?". Yves, Yena, and Jo Yuri all came back with amazing music. The icing on the cake would be Shitty Bang going to jail and NJZ coming back with a few bops; it's been too long. It would also be lovely if I never saw another "man" wear grills and caricature Black culture, thank you.

The interesting question is how many people clicked the ad and watched the whole video? 
 

however it's crazy to see how much money YG is investing in them. Seems like they haven't given up yet. It's gonna be interesting to see what's happening once the next gg debuted. They will clearly invest in the group that has more potential. Kinda this gen's winner vs ikon

don't know why YG is still investing in youtube ads, what a waste of blackpink's money 

meanwhile they're N/A on spotify global, they could've at least bought some playlisting with that money 

Yesterday I was hiking in the middle of rural area in Germany and a straight man drove by me busting Jump with open windows.

Ugh I really can't vibe with Dirty Work like that. The chorus is just too repetitive/lowkey. I really hope they stop chasing sounds they think will work in the west and just do kpop. Hopefully Kpop Demon Hunters shows Kpop companies you can have a kpop sound and still succeed in the west.
