We gotta take into consideration that 2NE1 is pretty much the only girlgroup in the list that went through the download-heavy chart system era, which makes those 111 weeks even more impressive. Legends

More than 3 years. It was written in around 2013.

 

The producers said it was originally written for SNSD (and inspired by IGAB), before RV even debuted. SM sat on the song for a long time. LSM also mentioned that he only gave it to RV when he thought they were "ready" for a song like that, also implying the song had been sat around for a long time.
