DWAS has been steadying att 9M-10M daily streams since its release in august with no signs of slowing down.

However the song failed to hit #1 in many major music markets and is not #1 on other platforms where the song is consumable.

So I pose the question to you.. is there something fishy going on here?

 

Up to 10% of all music streams are fake according to music analysts. Until there's chart reform to fix this across the board, it isn't fair to single out just one song for it.

 

Also, if you're gonna drag a popular Western artist from 2008 for payola, Drake is where you need to start.

What is weird is that this had no effect on Gaga's catalogue, while Bruno had a huge boost.

The endless slander vocations that comes from you is astounding.

Every Gaga smash hit is organic. DWAS, Bloody Mary, ROM, ARUTW, Shallow etc. 

 

You wish your fav had just one of those in the last idk how many.. 15? 20? years. And no I don't mean Milegend. I mean your real fav hihi, keep fuming OGH  

 

Apple music has a much more hiphop dominated base so that's why their top songs don't match with spotify

 

The song is a gp smash though and a little atrl'er is not gonna change that

DWAS is huge in many markets with no official chart that Bruno toured recently. His catalog does move quite weird in the beginning of every month though

So you would say that the streaming numbers were believable if she hit #1? She is #1 or #2 on most charts so what is this about?

The song is still top 5 on Apple Music 4 months after its release and it's the highest non-Christmas song on Amazon Music. There's nothing fishy about its spotify streams, it's a organic smash

How many times is this thread going to be made? I swear this exact same thread asking the same question was made before. The song's been out for 4 months. And also just because a song didn't go #1 doesn't mean it can't have longevity. Radio also plays a role in a song taking a while to hit the top spot. Anyways. Moving on. *yawn*

It's only fishy when streams fluctuate up and down in huge %, not when they're consistent.

I mean the whole Spotify is, just look at how SZA tracks re-enters global charts every 3 months with autoplay and bot farms renewed.

 

It's dominance comes from its smashery in SEA, a market that is often ignored when talking about charts/streaming numbers. There's definitely some autoplay involved like with every smash hit nowadays, but nothing out of the ordinary imo

They're not, a big chunk of the streams come from Asia so maybe that's why it looks disproportionate but the song is a proper smash.

Are majority of the global streams from Thailand or Vietnam (streaming farm havens) like BTS "global" streams? If yes, then I'd say it's fishy.

 

But honestly I think people just enjoy Bruno Mars ballads, as evidenced by the huge streaming boost he's got.

 

 

Majority of streams came from Indo, Philippines and Brazil where Bruno had stadium shows recently, its streams were not THAT impressive in the US for example that's why it's not that dominating on the official charts despite dominating Spotify Global

Indonesia and Philippines are carrying this song on the charts. The way it has parked at #1 with over 1 million streams in both countries without letting up for 5 months straight is quite interesting!

They love songs like DWAS and Bruno is half-Filipino so it's not that surprising.

I don't know how many times, but I know it's always someone who stans a relic of the early 2000s that has a lot to say about Gaga lmao   Idk why they are still this obsessed with her after all this time. They truly must have PTSD from the fact that Gaga's huge rise and peak years occurred at the same time as their favs were on their way OUT and somehow they hold a grudge and feel like it's Gaga's fault, when that's not the case. If Gaga never existed, their favs would've still been on their way out, due to lack of talent and vision. 

DWAS the organic smasha and modern classic that you are whew   Gaga and Bruno really did THAT. This song will prolly reach 3B streams. 

it is talent winning though the fishy thing is why radio did not support it more.
