Doechii is a STAR! I caught her on tour a couple of weeks ago and left feeling like I had seen future icon. 

She ate it up. 

 

I really want to see her make it. I feel like there's a very loud absence of women in this part of the hip hop spectrum. Call it conscious or alternative, idk. Even now that female rappers are doing better than ever, they're all making sexy club music (not putting that down, they're bops). I thought Tierra Whack or Rapsody would make it but neither of them really has, outside of critics "artists to watch" lists. And they're part of a long line of women who also didn't find space in that world starting from the 90's. We remember Kim, Foxy and Eve but not Bahamadia and Yo-Yo. There are a few exceptions (Queen Latifah, mostly) but... Anyway

She is soooooooooooooooooooooooo goood. 

She just came off her tour so I thought all ha energy would've been spent! And with the TDE tour (that she inevitably will be a part of) I thought she was on a resting break

 

but she's still stepping on hoes toes. Who is performing like this? While rapping live too?

That was perfection. Pure performance art. I can't imagine the amount of rehearsal that would have required. Music needs HER.

I listened to her mixtape for the first time last month and was floored  this girl is going places

Too few people know that Katy collab even exists for it to affect her career either way.
