Halsey kinda tried that and the gp said no.

We all know LG7 will do some numbers on first week because of the fan base. But will the gp be here for it?

They will be here & they were gagged as recently as last year with Bloody Marry going viral which shows they would've loved to hear more.

Who cares about the GP atp? Hopefully not Gaga. I hope this upcoming album has been made with the sole purpose of pleasing herself and the liddos.

If she leans into a German techno sound, yes.

If it's messy and ARTPOP-y (which it sounds like it might be) then no.

Her gay stans will eat it up either way, but it needs to be genuinely "cool" for straight people to vibe with it. They won't be into it just because it's Gaga. The music will actually have to be good.

Gaga's dark bops have had a resurgence for a while, most notably Bloody Mary so what better moment to find out.

If her dark bops tank and we get stuck with AdultContemporaryGa  :deadbanana4:

It's her best bet imo. Playing it safe will result in another Stupid Love like scenario. Also, she has one of the biggest hits of 2024 already. I'm genuinely more concerned with whether it's good this time over how well it does

Idk but I will and that's more important.

The only solo Gaga songs sort of well received by GP after 2011 are AC hits (ARUTW and Million Reasons) but clearly even that isn't working for her anymore (Hold My Hand and Happy Mistake)

So I'd say no :dancehall3:

Thankfully most of them are AI generated bc they sound so dated. :rip:

Agreed. They give me 'Aura/Swine' vibes. Every snippet has sounded overproduced and I'm worried I'm gonna be left thinking, "what does that even mean…?"

I feel like she's just gonna shout the words "ABRACADABRA" and "HOOKAHHH" over a beat that sounds like someone's smashing pots and pans…

I thought 'Chromatica' was brilliant. Especially the production. If she does do dark-pop, I just hope it's melodic, and isn't like any of the ARTPOP garbage that just ended up hurting my ears.

Realistically, I think it will do Chromatica numbers at best. Maybe something will take off and become a huge viral hit but I'm not expecting it. I'd much rather something exciting and quality than a hit though, I felt the music has been beneath her talents for the past decade.
