just had a dream in which I was working on a version of Lonely but Exciting Road in a music lab classroom with her right next to me and she was being so encouraging about it and saying that she wanted my version released (which had my vocals more front and center with hers in the background) and it sounded so f*cking beautiful and it was so sweet  and then i biked home in the snow and i had a chipotle burrito overflowing in my backpack. god my dreams are always so insane but i woke up and i'm hungry and want to work on music

 

anyway i REALLY hope she announces more tour dates and comes to Colorado cause she's #1 on who i want to see the MOST this year

This album is so brilliant!

Eh it's twigs, idk what you expect from her. She'll tour soon, deluxe maybe.. But the projects never have legs really. They just all age incredibly

I've never listened to her before but my friend showed me the music videos for the title track and striptease. Now I've been listening to the album. Me and Mary Jane had a great time just sitting and listening to this.

 

its obviously very bjork, Madonna, elements of r&b like tinashe and Janet. Clearly some grimes-esque stuff.

 

but now I know why she has such a following. It's just refreshing to listen to.

 

its interesting and experimental while not losing the listener's ear, as many experimental artists do.

 

striptease was particularly impressive because of its genre mashing. And childlike things is just plain catchy. Cool stuff.
