We failed Gwen

One of my favorite Gwen tracks. Was excited for the album but this track flopped so the album went down the drain. Sad.

I mean I love some of her songs but did we really "fail" her or is she just underwhelmingย :deadbanana2:

Oh I wouldn't waste too muchย time worrying about it, she seems more than content with her life. The music was just something fun on the side for her to do.

no. her only good album is her debut.ย

Girl, Gwen failed the gays with This Is What The Truth Sounds Like or whatever it was called.ย

Baby Don't Lie was a BOP and she just abandoned it.ย

I still can't believe this is a real songย :rip:

Eh... I don't know. I think after The Sweet Escape she had some glimpses of greatness but she never got to be fully in the zone again.

Kinda want her to release one more No Doubt album, maybe that could get her the spark back... cause clearly all of these Blake collabs aren't doing it.

Can we finally be honest with ourselves and just admit that Gwen was never a great solo artist? She was always better with No Doubt.

lamb is pop bible...ย

the issue is her label expecting her to smash when they need to let her artistry grow as a mature songwriter. don't get me wrong her newer music isn't terrible but idk why they insist on having this 50 year old woman rehashing the past with watered down pop songs that don't even compare to her older materialโ€ฆlike how you go from writing the masterpiece that is simple kind of life and creating pop bibles like lamb/sweet escape to making songs like slow clap :rip:ย

So incredibly overrated. I own it, don't get me wrong. But a Pop Bible? It's not Jagged Little Pill.

It's mostly a singles collection.

I think TIWTTFL had potential to achieve what you are saying but half of the tracks... we were better off without.ย :gaycat6:

We failed her with 4 In The Morning, then again with Make Me Like Youย :clap3:

This. Didn't Interscope have to force her to complete LAMB? Even The Sweet Escape was kind of made on accident. ย

Be honest with your tasteless self and just admit that you should delete your account
