the music was still somehow interesting though... Had dr Luke put more effort in the production & crafting of the songs the reaction would've been different.

His input on this album is basically creating instrumental loops and looping them for 2-3 minutes while adding an extra drum on the chorus (as stated above by another user) there is no dedication , no polish , no excitement.

Look at Kim Petras, the Luke issue went bigger once the songs were not hitting it and the quality dipped.

I get that the hate towards Katy has reached a fever pitch in the last few weeks to an extent that feels OTT & mean-spirited. Treating her like a piñata is too much. But this thread is to discuss the album & a lot of us are really not feeling the music - yet many of you defending it are being seriously nasty & rude. It's not even fun to rubberneck this trainwreck of an era anymore. As much as y'all don't want to hear that we hate this, most of us hoped for so much better for her. She's capable of a lot more. The people she once inspired are now her references & she can't even pull off their styles. It's sad more than funny. I hope she can recover. Feels like this came from a very insecure place

Why is there only 1 true chorus in 'Nirvana'. It could've BEEN A HIT. Also the beat lowkey sounds inspired from a session on Gottwald's toilet seat.

look it's hard to take seriously some of the negative reviews mostly cause they come from biased opinions, I don't care much if this flops or if you think this project comes from an insecure place cause what really matters it's my ass bopping to music I like.

same! only ones that I'm not yet so keen on are WW, Wonder and Artificial (if it was two different songs, it would work for me, I really do like the verses and chorus but not together). and all the tracks truly deserve bridges!
