Could Taylor pull off "Madame X"?

I feel that the messages Madonna tried to send in her album Madame X, would have been much more well-received coming from an artist of Taylor's caliber. Taylor's popularity is at its peak and the political messages would have resonated with the GP and would be sort of a reputation 2.0. Thoughts?

no taylor has no real artistry other than writing about men. taylor could never do a like a prayer, even a god control would be out of her reach.

She already did that same year with The Man and You Need To Calm Down

If you're going to mention an example of Madonna's political songs, at least use the ones from her early career not a TURD like Killers...

Explain in 2020s pop terms what is "pull off a Madame X".

Why on God's green earth would anyone want to pull off a Madame X? A Ray of Light or a COADF I completely understand, hell I even give you American Life; but Madame X doesn't need to be replicated ever again.

whatever point madame x tried to make is everywhere in the news and probably in a way in social media feed (of course with political bias). i appreciate the message, but there's little subversion.

we don't need taylor to sing about shooters to know they are around. her concert has probably been targeted by someone at a point too.

there's true subversive music that sends anti-capitalist message and tries to make people think beyond boxes (like stereolab), but that has never been mainstream and won't ever be. most music with a message is just stuff we already seen floating around and feels familiar enough to be a hit (see also self-love and empowerment music)

No. She doesn't have the range. She doesn't have the depth. She doesn't have the artistic vision.

taylor's fans wouldn't understand it. they'd think god control is about taylor having a secret girlfriend

No. She doesn't have the life experience or the subliminal understanding of sadomasochism required.

No. These songs are out of her depth. Y'all love clowning on Madame X but it's more artistic than many of the albums you stan.

Madame X is about as creative as a bowl of cheese.

:rip:

It's quite frankly an insult the same woman who made Ray of Light and Confessions made an album of that caliber.

The simple answer is no - Taylor Swift could not make a deep, politically charged album that highlights a number of cultures, global issues, and that puts her own celebrity and feelings behind those greater than herself to elevate the plight of those less fortunate. Taylor would also never take an artistic risk like that.

Nah...I don't really think Taylor will make any strong politically charged songs in her career lol.

She's very much "gay is OK! :juanny:
