Just to make it clear most  hits songs sound very of their time, timeless songs on the other hand feel fresh at any time in history. They are the opposite of dated.

Does your fave have a timeless hit song?

"Get You" alone is about to hit 1B on Spotify, it's one of the biggest R&B songs GLOBALLY, not even just in the US

Daniel Caesar Salad got you fuming

Get You (feat. Kali Uchis)

972,144,151

763,554

And do we have to explain Damage, it's very obviously going to be a Can You Stand The Rain by New Edition type of legacy.  The music video still raking in 4M a month 3.5 years later which is a lot for a local song

Could've Been is literally H.E.R.'s 2nd top song on Spotify, the mainstream ppl like it so It'll end up outstreaming Boo'd Up there

this song is not a classic, it's forgotten

i feel like these two will pass the test of time quite well

I would say every Pop / Edm Song

Other Genres don't have that Problem

According to ATRL, my fave, Miss Mariah Carey, does not have any remembered music. But that is OK. As long as I know some of her music, it's OK.

Poker Face

Paparazzi

Bad Romance

Shallow

Always Remember Us This Way

…baby one more time

toxic

oops
gimme more

To name a few

Better yet, my fav has a timeless album!

My faves surely have but Im not sure about other certain girls mentioned in h.e.r.e

For Taylor it would be Love Story, Shake It Off, Blank Space, All To Well and Cruel Summer I guess (maybe some more tbh)

I don't know, I think the 2nd biggest Female R&B Song since 2017 ongoing would qualify, even for Dua Lipa standards

Some people posting the most dated hits possible by their favs

Being a classic doesn't mean a song is timeless.

For example like a virgin and material girl are classics by madonna but they are from their time.

Like a prayer, frozen and hung up are timeless
