In 2020, Brandy released her last Standard Studio album.  She sold 15k Pure and around 26k SPS. In 2024, J. Lo released her 8th Studio album (excluding her spanish material) and sold 14k Pure & around 21k SPS. This is Both girl's first Indie Release following a long hiatus and came roughly 25 years into their recording careers. Brandy debuted at #1 on the Independent Albums chart & J. Lo hit #7. 

 

Why did Brandy outsell J. Lo despite having less media presence, No recent hits and No ATRL Banner? Is this shocking to you? For those that have heard both, which album is better?

No, her music is better. Brandy is also a legend and respected outside her relationships (which seems to be jlos problem now).

No she didn't. That would make it the second best-selling female album of all time which it is not. It sold a bit over 8 million.
