I think several of the older fanbases are dealing with Sunk Cost awareness. It sucks waiting around for your fave, and you only get one album in 7, or 8 years.

Monsters will cosplay as Swifties or Adele stans depending on their mood.

The success stans from the Katy Kats, that ran to Gaga after she flopped. Then, ran to Taylor after Gaga wasn't having the success, they expected.
