In November 2023, English singer and record producer PinkPantheress released her debut album, Heaven Knows, following her breakout 2021 mixtape To Hell with It and 2022 EP Take Me Home. The album was met with a positive reception, though was seen by many as a disappoint compared to her earlier work after so much build-up. It was also viewed as a commercial underperformance, peaking lower on the UK charts than To Hell with It and at number 61 on the Billboard 200 — even after the hugely successful single Boy's a Liar and its remix featuring Ice Spice.

So, why wasn't Heaven Knows the success that many were anticipating? Why was it seen by so many as a letdown? Discuss

Um

Absolutely, it’s such a great album.

Absolutely yes, one of my top 3 albums of 2023

yes I hate how Ice spice stole her spotlight when BAL2 smashed

came for Donna Summer

Yes it’s an excellent album

it's probably cause she doesn't make herself into an obvious "sex symbol" like other female popstars often have to to find success idk

Yeah, it's really good.

It was one of the best albums released last year so yes

Taste! I didn’t even know PinkPantheress existed until I came into this thread.

Yeah, it’s her best project for sure. I wish her label gave it a bigger push, she deserves more music videos and promo

Once she releases Feelings as a single, the album will SMASH
