Lover probably sold more album units but PRISM had two diamond singles and several #1 hits 

Prism has Roar and Dark Horse....so that one!

Isn’t lover still in the top 10 after 3 decades?

Lover sold more but Prism has the bigger hits. I voted for Lover though. 

Hits are more important in the long run 

People need to stop using hits to claim an album is bigger. The question is which album is bigger not which singles are bigger. The answer is Lover. It’s definitely surpassed everywhere sans France,Mexico and Brazil.

Also CS is shaping up to be just as big as Roar/DH when it’s all said & done. So what’s the narrative again? 

Dark Horse & Roar are both bigger hits than anything songs on Lover, but Lover is a bigger album than Prism as a complete body of work

Yes I have and lover has those numbers on BB200 because of CS 

 

Lover is A LOT bigger as an album, but Prism has bigger hits.

But since the question is "which album is bigger?", The obvious answer is Lover 

Lover spent more weeks in the top 10 than Katy's entire discography

Not always. 
1989 will always be bigger than midnight or lover simply because it has more hits than both combined.

Lover was a permanent resident in the top 20/40 long before CS became a viral smash 

Lover is bigger, Prism is better

I mean, by the end of this year, I can say Cruel Summer may be slightly behind Dark Horse, Lover may be slightly behind Roar, but YNTCD and ME! are far ahead of Birthday and This Is How We Do

Flawed logic, because you are claiming Prism is bigger due to hits that are allegedly more important in the long run ( even in that case, Cruel Summer is there ). 

 

Anyway, overall - Lover. 

people underrate how big CS is because it was more of a sleeper hit and it took years for it take off... imo it'll be just as big as DH or Roar eventually. 

Love has the album sales but Prism has the hits AND the quality overall and I'm saying that about a Katy Perry album so you get my stance on Lover.

Thats different because 1989 sold amazing for its climate plus has great album track streams. Not just single sales+streams. 

Roar and Dark Horse alone are bigger than the entire 18-track album.

 

Lover is only getting high streams because of The Eras Tour boost and Cruel Summer is carrying the entire album.

Lover wasn't doing those numbers before the monster hit CS. What is this? 

Cruel Summer is bigger than DH/roar and Lover(A) is way bigger than Prism I‘m sorry

CS is going to show up on both 2023/2024 IFPI global single chart (might even be YE #1 this year) and will surpass both songs on Billboard decade end chart and All-time chart when it’s all said and done.

Needless to say Lover has more weeks in the top 10 of BB200 than Katy’s entire career and still goes on, and has already surpassed Prism on ChartMaster.

On top of the monstrous hits Roar and Dark Horse, PRISM's other 2 singles Unconditionally and This Is How We Do were as big as ME! and You Need To Calm Down.
