I like this, however it feels like they just threw in that sample so there was some kind of 00s dance reference, when it reality it adds absolutely nothing to the song.

 

However, I like the direction this album is going in and am excited for whats to come.

I really hate the sample. It’s not even that the song is bad but the reference is dated, obnoxious and it’s not seamless.

Cute bop. I find the transition from the (first especially) chorus into the sample grating though. It doesn’t flow well to me.

 

I also don’t think it’s great to have a high pitched vocal for the whole chorus, kind of a cheat when singing live?

 

Anyway, it’s nice.

The sample does feel just a tad bit tacked on to the song, but not enough for all of the dramatics on here. It makes it catchier, and it has way more viral potential because of it. And troye’s been killing it with the TikTok promotion this era
