Is "ME!" Taylor's "Unconditionally" ?

Featured Replies

both artists were relentless about releasing it as a single despite the fact that there were clearly better choices as singles

Both were bullied - Taylor for including "spelling is fun" to the point she had to omit it from streaming, Katy for saying it is a future wedding classic but the GP saying no

Both underperformed - for Taylor, it was her first lead single in almost 9 years to miss #1, while for Katy, it broke her record of 10 consecutive top 10 records

Unconditionally has a beautiful MV and is tolerable to listen to.

  • "Unconditionally" is the wedding anthem, "ME!" is a funeral classics of common sense.

  • No?   Unconditionally is being played at weddings & anniversaries.   Me! is being played in preschools & Guantanamo Bay Detention Camp.

i actually love and enjoy both.

But yes, i agree, there were other obvious choices, like Cruel Summer/Paper Rings and Legendary Lovers/Dark Horse/Waling on Air

No. Unconditionally spelled the start of Katy’s downfall and broke her streak of successful singles. Dark horse technically came out before uncle as a “promo single” before it blew up.

Meanwhile whilst ME! is truly a taint in Taylor’s discography, it thankfully did not hinder her from going on to immense success and another career repeak later.

If anything it’s her Roar, cuz both were terrible lead singles :cm:

Isn't Uncle getting decent streaming numbers for a katy song? It actually worked in the end

what a random comparison, Unconditionally is one of Katy's best song while ME's is one of the songs in Lover

Both are bad songs so they have that in common. Uncle was the beginning of the end for Katy but Taylor bounced back hard from ME! so they are different scenarios.

No?

uncle dishawna lee is actually great when it comes to production and melodies. me!ss on the other hand is a wiggles reject.

unconditionally is just better
but I've never heard it at any weddings

Unconditionally is a good song and timeless - i always liked it and eventually like other ballads it surfaced and its in katys top 5 daily streamed.

ME! Is a turd and only does good streams thanks to Taylors huge streaming build (even then realtively ME! streams arent that good)

The only similarities are in that first sentence about them wanting it a single when oher sdidnt. but i stand by Uncle as a single - its better than birthday/TIHWD and Uncle sold prism during fall/winter

ME! is Taylor's Frozen. Both are the lead singles from the artists' seventh albums and career highlight masterpieces.

Me!th is a stain on Taylor's discography. And one of the worst songs I have ever heard.

Uncle is a passable song if you're into those types of schmaltzy ballads. Don't see the relation. :gaycat:
