has anyone figured out a better tracklist placement? I wanna give it a second listen cause there are some good songs in here but I remember feeling a sense of drain by the end of the album since the pacing is bad.

it's a two sided album, so I guess you can always start at "Gun" and circle back after

 

Not bad for a "flop" album (and all solo)

i agree that balut is a flawless closer (it's like taking candy from a baby!) but the freestyle is an amazing song, i'm glad she added it last minute

Not that it matters but it’s clear she hurt her image and reputation with stan circles. The vitriol against this album is incredibly overblown, so people were definitely perched to see her have a “misstep” after PTTR started smashing post-scandal. 
 

Albums that get their perception affected by things outside of the music always end up being looked back on with people asking “why did everyone drag this!! It was a classic!!” years and years later. Anti is like the prime example of it, but once people stop paying attention to outside scandals and move on, the truth comes to light. Not that I think this will be a guaranteed classic but with PTTR and AH smashing I can see the retrospective reviews praising it already.

As whole the album is lowkey hurting from always having songs with the same structure. I shouldn't have known every time that I pressed play that I would get chorus>verse>chorus>verse>chorus>instrumental outro everytime. I have complained about this already but this is kinda jarring in Scarlet, whereas it was just a minor complaint in Planet Her (probably because the second verse on that album were sometimes mixing rap & singing, so they were giving the illusion of a bridge).

Half of this album slaps and half is so average. Really unexpected after the consistency of Planet Her for me.

Wet V has grown on me so much, it’s the perfect follow up to demons  I wish WYM was added before demons, it fits the first half much better
