I wouldn't care. I'd just enjoy making music for the small amount of fans I have.

All the artist I stan Are Flops in fact yes im the only stan for those artist even on this forum and those boys are so thankful everyday they enjoy making music sometimes maybe a song will suddenly become a hit.  But honestly being a musican is not about being top of the charts it's about the Arts and I guess atrl find it hard to understand.

I would roll whatever small fanbase I have into an OnlyFans following, but without any full nudity in case my career picks back up.

Hoe around with all the top radio hosts and DJs tbh!

Gotta do what I gotta do tbh!

Even SiriusXM!

Bc the prompt specifies “newish artist”, I wouldn’t sign a record deal until I had established a name for myself. The artists I idolize write, produce & perform so I’d follow in that tradition, which eliminates a lot of expenses so that takes the pressure off of flopping bc nobody’s hounding me for a hit to get their advance $ back. I’d use my pre-existing work & fanbase to negotiate a good & fair publishing deal & record some generic pop songs & get my team to have them plugged to popular singers. Father John Misty did that for a hot min (not that he was “flopping”) & it rly increased his visibility. It only takes 1 high profile collab to catapult someone into lots of opportunities. Maybe even settle for gimmicky advertising syncs just to get some cash to put more money into promotion.

I’d try to win over the critics and built a fanbase off of pretentious “alternative” stans who love a P4K BNM. Even if I’m not making numbers on streaming, I could make money through live shows and merch like Caroline Polachek or something :deadbanana2:

Within a year or so release a follow-up EP and perform like crazy to secure some sort of fanbase. Collab with a labelmate or two.

A bit after that, release a proper studio album that's stronger, has multiple songs with broader appeal, and a strong campaign. If something clicks with a larger audience, give it a major push.

  • promote it on grindr
  • drag myself on atrl
  • pretend to stan bts/taylor
  • ultraviolence track 9
  • desperate tik tok dances
  • gofundme to pay my rent

Try n build a fanase by making relatable music people can connect with. Book shows at as many events as possible

I’d make an only fans where ppl can watch me twerk to my flop songs

Stay the course, stick by my work and promo it till the era ends... then go back to drawing board and hopefully come back stronger than ever.

With the kind of music I'd be making, a mix of jazz, house, electronic and funk, I'd expect to flop. But I would have a dedicated fan base and that's all I'd need to be happy and carry on.

stick with the flop and promote it endlessly so that it stays in people's minds and 10 years later they call it a misunderstood masterpiece.

hop on a collab with a successful labelmate and release a new project 6-12 months later

Release onlyfans content with my music in it to garner streams for it :eli:

move to a different country and change my name

jk, I would just write my Shake It Off and start my 1989 era and then go internationally famous and win a grammy and and and
