Do you feel like Your wasting Summer Break?

Featured Replies

Anybody else get on social media and noticed so many people going to concerts and enjoying Summer? Do you feel FOMO more recently this summer than usual?

Yes. It almost feels like the opposite of seasonal depression: I'm happy in the winter but depressed in the summer because everyone seems to be travelling and enjoying their summer while I'm hardly doing anything.

I've barely gone outside in a month since I'm studying for some exams but I'm going to Prague next week so hopefully that makes me feel less dead inside

well summer sucks and in this heat is basically impossible to get out of the house.

I'm doing my Master's program online and rarely leave the house so I guess kinda. I go to the beach in August though which I'm looking forward to.

Nah, ever since Covid I'm SUPER weary going out lmao, the germs make me wanna vomit. **** that. The most I'll go to is a show indoors with AC. Its just... suffocating being in dirty heat (London is mad polluted).

Pretty much everyone does nothing during the summer.  It's not just you.  Since high school I also worked full-time during the summer so did not have that much free time.

Adults like myself work full-time jobs all year round. We plan vacations and rely on weekends.

Not at all. Idk i guess with me being out of school already, summer is just another season. I’ve been going to concerts and traveling and going crazy ever since the COVID craze died down a bit in late 2021. Loving life.

**** social media btw. If you wanna truly enjoy yourself, you don’t have to do whatever everybody in your socials are doing or or go wherever they’re traveling too.

Also, not worrying about feeling the “need” to post on social media and let everybody know what you’re doing >>>>>>>>>

i only say this because at some point I also felt I wasn’t getting the most out of life thx to social media. I’m still on it a lot, just don’t worry about how other people perceive you thru your socials.

Yeah....it feels like I'm just bored all day with nothing to do.

Stop focusing on what others are doing and worry about yourself

I'm having a great time. It doesn't take much for me to be satisfied. Summer is my least favorite time of year, anyway, living in Louisiana. I'd generally be outdoors more, but there's no way I'm being out in this heat. In the midst of still working and doing various activities, I've just been catching up on television shows, games and movies. It's been chill.

The spring and fall months are actually when I do my vacationing and go out and do a lot of things. Summer is my downtime.

No summer just started 3 days ago.

I am very lucky to be working at a Uni now so I get a lot of time off :heart2: will be taking advantage!

I might just get a part time summer job cuz I be bored on my off days

I have two weeks off from work: one in august and one in september, but I'm still doing a lot of things so no, for the first time I actually feel like I'm doing it right :deadbanana4:

I work from home. Every day feels like summer break except for those rare days where they literally harass my Teams chat every 2 seconds because they don't know how to read Excel tables.

I miss having a summer break lol

.

I haven’t had a summer break since my junior year of high school in 2013.

Yeah I don’t have any trips planned this summer. My only goal this summer is to work out more often, get a tan, and study for an exam I need for my profession.  I am on a good track rn so went to keep the momentum going.

The only splurge I’m debating is spending an insane amount of money on the Renaissance tour lol since I am not going on a vacation

yes though it's winter, but being single, having no friends and being too afraid to go to concerts alone I am feeling like I am wasting it that way :(  it's why I went screw it and going to see RAYE alone. :chick1:
