Isn’t Calm Down gaining right now in its first year whereas Cold Heart just started declining around the same time? 

Cold Heart is bigger than Calm Down, but Calm Down could still overtake Cold Heart. Only time will tell.

 

Cold Heart wins easily in the quality department, it's actually a good song whereas Calm Down is terrible.

That's because it took CD a whole year to take off in the US. Cold Heart didn't take that long.

As for better, I prefer Calm Down but both are bops. 

calm down is easily the bigger song, the chart positions does not mean anything since a lot countries do not count remixes. Calm Down (remix+og) is way bigger

They both seem like they'll be equal sized hits at the end of the day 

Cold Heart is easily the biggest song, even it didn't do well in the US, it ended in the top 5 best selling songs of the year in the world.

Cold Heart easily, I didn't even know what Calm Down was until I saw the youTube video - assumed it was Taylor Swift.

1. Cold Heart's versions are DJ remixes and an acoustic version. Not comparable AT ALL. 

 

2. None of those Elton previous hits count for Cold Heart's sales or streams. Calm Down's do. 

 

3. Read my post again. I literally said that the original was a hit but after the remix, it exploded. I never said the original contributed heavily to its success. However, there is nothing wrong if the original contributed to it. After all, there wouldn't be a remix if the original had not shown signs of success. 

 

The original was at 200m views on YouTube and was charting in most of Europe by the time the remix dropped.

Calm Down (original version) went viral on tiktok in some countries and so had cute streams but never translated into charts until the remix. 

This is my first time ever hearing Calm Down. I didn't make it all the way through.

anyone that votes for 'cold heart' in october 2023 is just wrong. 'cold heart' was a smash but 'calm down' longevity is one for the books. it's bigger.
