think of older singers whose voice deteriorated over the years.. with AI they can still sound like their peak selves

I don't think that's too bad of a thing considering there are different ways to enhance a singer's voice already.

 

The issue I see is estates of artists that have passed using AI to create new songs with it and then selling them as a mastered version of demos they recorded back in the day. Like they did for MJ's XScape but then with songs completely made from scratch by AI instead of actual demos.

It's not just a "stan thing". Hasn't Timbaland expressed he wants to use AI in his future projects, even recreating The Notorious B.I.G. voice for a new song? I hope that eventually AI will be either banned or heavily restricted. Those fanmade covers are fun, I guess, but I don't know how I feel about listening to new AI generated Whitney Houston or Michael Jackson albums.

 

There is hope for Rihanna stans though...

Some people (wont name them) in this thread are so naive. Do you even realise that with AI singers like JLo and Rih and Brit can actually do NOTHING AT ALL and still have albums out? They kinda did that without AI, imagine the possibilities that we get completely fooled. Like what if they dont even want to tell you that it's AI? And that's just 1 small perspective into AI, there can be many more issues, even crimes.

But will we know when it's fake? If an artist don't say it, people will just think it's him singing lol. 

Music is one thing, but the way AI manipulate politics and fearmonger… It’s a bad time.
