as stated, ReDone definitely proved himself to be a one trick pony without Gaga. i also feel like Max Martin lowkey lost his spark, but it could also be that he’s doing a soft retirement after carrying the industry for so long

i love his work with gaga & j-lo but he always lacked versatility, and when the dance pop craze died in 2013 he couldn't acclimate to the new sound that was dominating the charts. he should've studied how max martin built his production house and did something similar, because he always stays here (he's going through a dry spell now but he always comes back)

Stargate is a great example. They were churning out hits for like a decade. And they’re still super active and (somewhat) adapting to trends, but they’ve totally lost the spark (and Rihanna’s business)
