She kind of got ****** over this era by her team. I don't think they ran interference with the leak very well, and I think she herself has always seemed a bit distant from audiences.

She was never that established as a pop star to begin with, SBP was a big hit but nobody truly cared about who sang it. Afterward she had a few more moderate hits but the GP never "clicked" with her. That's why it's not a surprise that she started flopping.

the issue is her image is too faceless to warrant casual listeners investing in outside of streaming. this wouldn’t be so bad if she was still a new artist but 5 years in and her defining trait is being the lopsided wig girlie who makes gaga-lite pop music  a focus group to help overhaul her image is desperately needed.

She had the image and sound. Maybe she did have nerve, because sporting that stupid haircut for those years definitely took something! But ultimately, she wasn’t able to be a creative force like Gaga.

Besides a forced cringe haircut and signing over tired samples with house-lite production, what was her image and sound? Who is she? 

Absolutely no personality, forced ugly vocals, generic faceless music… what is there to happen? 

She clearly was never destined to be a big popstar, nothing after SBP really sticked and standed out, as other points out she lacks charisma, personality, talent and tones of feats.

 

I don't even think it's her team to blame, how many singles with music videos they launched in these almost 5 years since her debut? She simply doesn't have it in her to make it.

I bop to her music and d&d is full of fun songs but all her songs sound the same, there's literally no reason for her to exist in pop landscape after SBP success, but it's okay for her just to release music for us gays who love it

Every time i see someone say "pop girls are over" it always read like wishful thinking and not actual reality.

I love her voice & music...but I've never seen an interview from her, I've never seen her at an award show, etc.

Her album sounds like it was made by an AI with the goal of sounding the most generic and derivative that it could be.

 

I have listened to D&D multiple times but cannot recall a single melody or lyric LOL. It's even too faceless for H&M dressing rooms
