If anything this makes it more impressive for Rih? Some of those artists had an era going on

Well, I don't agree, it feels way more eventful to have someone who has been gone for years than someone you constantly see everywhere.

Like the same way people were comparing and berating Rihanna’s performance despite being halfway through a pregnancy compared to other pop girls? How was that fair?

It’s funny how y’all kept saying pregnancy was just an “excuse” but now apparently there are excuses why she had the biggest streaming boost from any act. Y’all are such losers :rip:

As if it would have made any difference. Katy was trying more while being pregnant. :skull:

OMG Rih will break records left and right with her next album if she decides to be a singer again :jonny5:

How so? :skull:

Rihanna, one of the biggest hitmakers of the century, is performing for the 1st time in 7 years at the biggest event of the year and you are comparing it to... for instance, The Weeknd who has been releasing and performing non-stop?

That is exactly the point? The spotlight of the show is the same for everyone. Why would Rihanna charting more songs than artists that were already present on the charts at the time of their HTS not be extremely impressive? :skull:

Spotify had much less users in 2017 and it wasn't as big as in 2020s. Plus she was kinda streaming poison before ASIB.

2017 is the year of Shape of You so it was definitely huge at that time

People and media tend to be more curious about someone performing for the first time in many years than someone who isn't making themselves rare. I didn't think saying it was a big deal but ok.

She was? She still is. Having streams thanks to tik tok trends doesn’t make you a streaming force.

+ the number of total Spotify users don't change anything when it comes to charting songs in the Top 200. Every song had less streams because of less users, not only Gaga's.

Uh no she's become bigger ln streaming

Congrats to the queen.:WAP:

Gaga charting  4 songs:bibliahh:

You know well that pure sales were still relevant back in 2017

Gaga sold 400k the week after her show, also The Fame went top10 on BB and Million Reasons got a #4 peak remember :gaycat1:

Stop trying it OGH.

Exactly. And Gaga released a new album 4 months before the Super Bowl. The Weekend had After Hours the year before his + released a greatest hits album.

The people saying “it’s not fair” are trying so hard to discredit Rihanna :ahh:

The way some of the fomos here were pretending this is the normal boost everyone gets everytime lol

If anything that impacts the amount of streams not the actual positions.

Gaga's impact was mostly thanks to sales though (which still was relevant at least for her at that time)

Remember that Million Reasons returned to the Hot 100 at #4 thanks mostly to sales

Hot 100:

#4. Million Reasons RETURN  (#1 sales, N/A streaming songs)

#50. Bad Romance  RETURN

So? streaming a song on spoti is literally FREE  :deadbanana4:

Not you acting as if every other artist didn't discount their music after their superbowl, including your fav plzz!!:ahh:

OT: No one denied Rih still is a streaming force, so I wasn’t surprised she slayed that hard

Super Bowl Spurs Sales for Madonna’s New (and Old) Material

Her “Celebration” greatest hits album got the largest bump, selling between 13,000-14,000 download copies (up from a couple hundred units the week previous). The best-of set was discounted to $6.99 in the iTunes Store, while most of her other albums were priced at $7.99 at the retailer. It also sold for $3.99 on Sunday in the Amazon MP3 store. *Full article*
