A lot of the time, these 'slopulist progressive' candidates like him and Jon Ossoff will ALWAYS bend the knee on culture war issues because they lack any nuance regarding the platforms they're campaigning on Do they think trans people don't live in red states?! Do they think trans people don't give a sh*t about affordability and healthcare?! Are trans kids playing sports in red states the reason why people can't afford groceries and gas?! This is exactly why Abdul El-Sayed and Angie Nixon are such great candidates because they ALWAYS redirect the 'gotcha' questions back to the core issues. People need to realize that a lot of Democrats just don't have that kind of messaging discipline like them
